Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: What are you looking forward to in the offseason?

I see Bigmrg74 is using a reverse POTY campaign strategy via rep. Asking people to vote for someone else, knowing it will get him more votes. Very tricksy! ;)

Except I had voted prior to his rep. :D

Scarlet, wasn't Easter April 8th?

Ah, I can't keep track of all the religions and their holidays. You would think they could all agree on the major ones, you know, like the date that their savior rose from the dead. Seems fairly important. :)

Oh, we can read a calendar just fine. We just chose not to change it.

I'm still wondering how the heck I won a second round poll and am (at least at the time I type this) tied with Rimbaud in the third round...

You're a darkhorse contender for the championship.

Morning Lodge.

Whew, looks like I am well on the way to elimination in this round - as I should be.

Yay travel. Looks like I get at least 4 flights next week.

Well I think everyone knows a certain poster who was left off the poll which could have easily run away with the title.

I wonder if I should be disappointed I'm not even on the list.

I stopped in the Verizon store over lunch to ask if when I change my phone and renew my contract, I will lose my status of being grandfathered in to having unlimited data, and the chick there said no! I can get a new phone, at the discounted price, renew my contract and continue to have unlimited data for $28/month. Awesome.

Apparently starting April 22nd everyone (Verizon customers) will be charged a $30 upgrade fee when they change phones. Regardless of their discounts, plans, or other statuses.

I don't really care too much about that, I'm just glad that I get to keep my unlimited data for the cheap price. Hell, a $30 fee is one month of data at the closest plan to unlimited the offer now, and then I'd only get 8gb.

Yeah, its a good price. Although your data speed is being throttled down as you get higher in usage. Only Sprint currently does not throttle speeds on their unlimited plans I believe.

I've never noticed that happening. But I found out last night that I can stream Netflix on my computer when it is tethered to my phone at it works perfectly. I still don't know how to make that go on my TV, but I'm happy with baby steps.

Easiest way to do it without breaking FCC code is to have your computer do monitor output to your TV (via HDMI or S-Video).

Well, the first thing I'm going to try is to watch Netflix on my phone, via the Netflix app and then use the HDMI to connect my phone to the TV. Cut the computer out of it completely.

That could work as well. I didn't know that new fangled stuff could do that. I'm still wrapping my head around the concept of mobile telephone, given where I grew up.
