Sunday night I made my lunch for yesterday and today. Yesterday, I saw we had a team lunch scheduled for today with a new person who started yesterday. This morning I was debating about bringing my lunch since we were supposed to go out. I decided to bring it and on the off chance the lunch was cancelled, I would have lunch. And sure enough, I got here and they cancelled it. Yay me!

Best rule we had when we were wedding planning was if you wanted something specific that wasn't a part of the plan, you pay for it. That got a lot of people off our backs.

My dad insisted NaSK and I have a Saturday wedding. He wanted people to be able to attend without having to take off work. So dad paid all the Saturday night premiums. I also let him pick the wine since he has strong opinions on that and was paying for the open bar (NaSK and I picked the beer though).

NaSK got to have input, but if I had let him get his way we would have signed documents at the courthouse and not had a big event where he shared the focus of attention. He's very shy and I thought he was going to faint during the ceremony he was so nervous.

You may not realize we hung out last weekend at a get-together. We may disagree on many a thing, but as mature adults, we can see past that, and be cool with each other. ;)

It's supposed to reach 96 deg F today in 202-land. :eek:

Yesterday the high here was 88 and humid. Today the high was 70 this morning, and will continue to drop as the day progresses.

Went to the 2nd hand store yesterday to buy some warmer clothes for the munchkin. We're taking her to the football game Saturday with a current forecast of 58 for the high.

Predicted daily highs around here for the next week are 65 and below. So yes, it's really October. D.C. is just broken - now in more ways than usual! :D

Started out in the 70s and so humid it was like breathing thru a wet washcloth. Heavy rains and then, while raining, dropped to 60. I was out shooting a meet. My rain hoodie used to be waterproof. It isn't now. It was dam cold by the end.

Ugh work. OT every day this week. And related: what is wrong with kids these days? One of our younger employees called in Monday morning, and apparently said he would not be in. He forgot to tell the company he had jury duty starting that day. Seriously, dude?
