Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: The Banana Bread Is Running Out

HHT, a few times over.

It was a good day. Got blood work done, didn't get lost leaving the hospital for the first time in about 6 trips. Now let's see just what the results say (routine preventative care, everything major appears to be fine until further notice). Spent 10 hours at the ice arena. Really nice way to spend a fall Saturday.

Well, then. Blood tests came back a littler better than I thought I was going to get. Glucose is a tad high, LDL could stand to come down a bit, I've got to work on my sodium intake, and the BP needs to come down, but it doesn't appear to be anything out of control. I can work on this. Let's see what the doc thinks on Thursday afternoon.

It’s ****ing cold this morning. I picked the wrong jacket.

Mix it with the wind and the rain we had, and I've had better mornings. Also, I had a window open all night. When my alarm sounded this morning, if felt like I woke up in a walk-in refrigerator.

Thanks les! Back in my room. Had a nice dinner with some work peeps. The weather is just beautiful here. No jacket. We ate outside.

I just called room service to send up some ice cream to go with the awesome cupcake they gave to me. All in all, not a bad day. Especially for a Tuesday.

It's that time of year where you layer up in the morning/wear a jacket, then wonder why the heck you have all these clothes on/with you in the afternoon. It's supposed to a little warmer this weekend, although it's really going to be tough to beat last Saturday afternoon. That was a PERFECT fall day.

Good Morning Lodge!
It is Friday. That is a good thing. Going to a wedding this weekend. At a formal place but recently I have figured out that means nothing (I am a slow learner). I did finally worked out that the way you figure out what to wear is to find out who you are sitting with and dress like they are planning to dress. That way you at least fit in with someone.

A few weeks ago went to an evening wedding- there were people in beads, sequins, and 4 inch heels. There were also people in cargo shorts, sneakers and flannel shirts over a teeshirt. ??? flannel shirts?

They have collars.

Movers told me I would have my stuff 5-10 days after they picked it up...closer to 5. They picked it up October 12th. They are coming tomorrow, October 26th. 14 days. New couch gets here Tuesday morning. Then maybe it will start to feel like I live here.
