Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: Get the thread open so I can sit at the Happy Hockey Table

Probably only leswp1 cares, and I am sure that she knows it already, but the 1940 US census was released to the public on April 1 and is currently available online. I found my father and grandparents. This was the first census since they arrived. My mother and her family didn't arrive until later that year. (It will be another 10 years until I find her on census records, and then I will also be included. )
Waiting for Mass to be up.

I care. My fathers side of the family is a complete mystery to me past my parents parents. Will the census already be in digital format on sites like Ancestry.com?

Got this in my inbox yest as well as the ancestry stuff.

Over the loss in a hurry as I wasn't too optimistic going into the game......still not happy with the crap MN pulled near the end. Overall a hell of lot more than I expected this season from Minny.

S'upp y'all

Nice day.... Mid 80s. Finished golf. What to do, what to do?

More golf?

Yo Loj, waddup!

Seriously, the amount of self congratulatory crap over that win was quite lame.

This is 2012. People storm the field when their 2-5 football team beats the opposing 3-4 team.

Where's BBDL? What'd you end up doing in Indy all day? Breaded pork tenderloin sandwich and brewskis at Plump's Last Shot?

You know Scarlet was cheering for the Yankees, using her OppositeGirl powers for a Rays walkoff win. Oh well, 161-1 isn't a bad season, even by Yankees standards ;)

Kentucky won the NCAA bouncy ball tourney. The Yankees have won the World Series all seven previous times that Kentucky won.

No. Kentucky won the NCAA title in 1948. The Indians won the World Series that fall.

Work was fun today. Everyone was leaving because it was slow and I get stuck and have to stay until 5 because someone who knows it all should stick around. Or so I thought. The production manager came up to me and asked me if I could help place labels on some bottles because he spaced out on the job. Next thing I know, it is 6:30. All for a customer that has been driving me insane for the last week and a half. On top of that, I get to deliver the remaining items tomorrow. DAMMIT!

A beer will be waiting for you. So there's that.

Chilling out tonight before the BBQ/hockey/yard games at the House Of Neat Hats tomorrow. Work was dead today, starting at about 2ish. Just dropped off, and all orders were cleared at 5pm (our cutoff is at 5:15). Compared to yesterday when we still had 1000 lines to pick at that time....(we have been doing about 4000 lines a day this week, which is insane; when I started 10 years ago, 2200 was a "busy day").

I was over the Gophers loss a couple hours after the game ended last night. It was a great run, now I await puckdrop next year.

Look on the bright side; "Tombstone" is on CMT, and we can also watch the Twins suck *** for the next 6 months.

Oops, I must have missed the fine print on that earlier this week. :o

I can't even remember how many times I have seen Tombstone. At least half a dozen times in the theaters alone, and bought the home copy on the release date.

Ah, just returned from my nightly bath... So far I've bathed four times (a.m. & p.m.). My hands have never gotten wet. I should put a review together.

I am confusing the women though. "you want everything?". -no, the shower and massage were fine. "you want bj?". -no. "hmm. He not happy?". -he has no say in it.

$60 well spent (well, $120/day)

Since I'm staying in a friends condo, that's likely hotel nightly tarriff

As I have mentioned to bbdl, there is a slight chance there will be an MNSFest part two Memorial Day weekend. I have to coordinate with BIS.

It's on. And reminds me, Rube-a-thon Labor Day Weekend event needs to happen again. Maybe hit the Fair on that Saturday instead, though.

At Coyote Ugly in Ybor City.
Pretty cheesy... drinking cheap swill.

And Dormrat is in Tampa, playing in the band for Ferris.
Had his stripes on tonight wandering around. :)

Cheap swill is great swill by me. I was thrilled in Bridgeport where the beers were $1-2 less expensive than in DC. Nothing like 3-4 $4 hooker blonde... ale.
