Uff da. That doesn't sound fun. I just went out for a walk. was feeling a bit too hot when I got home~ it is 87. Hello Summer? where did you hide Spring?

Evening, Lodge. Work was dead today. As in, by 10:30am (90 minutes into my shift), I had zero orders to pick. By 11am, I had 1 single pick to make.

Thankfully, my number was up next on the Voluntary Time Off list, and I took it. Hello (virtually) 4 day weekend!

Mornin', Lodge.

Fun day yesterday, a friend had his Big 4-0 get-together. We defied the governor's order and had ELEVEN people at the party. :eek: Had some tremendous rare beer, smoked pork butt, a nice cigar (there are some real aficionados in this group; I know nothing about them, really).

Lazy day today. Probably gonna watch food porn all day. (get yer mind out of the gutter: cooking shows that will make me drool).

I'm out here shortly.

I broke down and turned the AC on this evening. It was 82 in the house at 10 PM, and it's only getting down to 66 tonight. This thing isn't cooling off before sunrise, and we're looking at mid-to-high 80's the next 2-3 days.

I was supposed to get storms, then NOTHING. A little humid, but I'm not feeling the effects, which is weird.

Us, too. We busted our nuts yesterday helping my neighbor put in a stone deck behind his house. Between the wood and 10 tons of pea stone, it was a job. We did it yesterday because we were anticipating storms today. I got my outside stuff done early today because it was nice out, and I thought I knew what was coming. Bzzzt. Wrong again.

It was....thick here....you could feel something was supposed to happen, but nope. Nothing did. It was that eerie calm...
