Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: Choose A Number
That sounds like a good compromise.
So, back when I was in high school I was a part of my church’s youth group. There was a guy from my church who was a DJ and would be the DJ at all of church dances. He’s done really well for himself and now is a very high in demand wedding and event DJ. He started a radio show from noon-2:00pm on Wednesdays on the Greek radio station. My friends who I grew up with that were also part of the youth group were all listening to the show at the same time. All fun disco and dance music from the late 70s/early 80s. It was just so much fun to listen and bop around while I was working. He only does the show on Wednesdays but next week he adds in Tuesdays. Yay!
Well, we had the meeting today. We're NOT shutting down. We're splitting our staff. Half the staff is home one week, the other half is home the next week, etc. The people who have responsibilities deemed "critical" will be getting laptops and are expected to work from home on the weeks where they're not in the office. We're all getting paid for the entire time, salaried and hourly, until 5/1, and things will be re-evaluated at that point.
I'll take it in a heartbeat. I get my laptop tomorrow.
That sounds like a good compromise.
