Re: Rep retirement lodge CC - greetings from heathrow

Good Evening, Lodge!

Busy week. Working a lot. Normal 8-4:30 at day job and picking up some side work in the evenings. 12 hours days. Kinda need the money given the house, car repair (upkeep), and Montana trip.

Side work......so how is that Hennepin Ave corner working for ya? :D

Church tomorrow and Sunday, getting close to earning my mug. Talked shop with my booze store tonight; BSed with the manager a bit, and since the store was fully staffed (all 5 workers), they all know me now, which is a good thing, if one is hunting the hard to find beers. Manager even poured me some $60/bottle bourbon for free. :) It's good to know people. (Note: it's a bottle I wouldn't buy at that price, there are better out there, but I am not complaining).

Evening, Lodge. Got a new lappy today, not really by choice. Figuring this crapola out. It sucks.

What did you get?

Asus 13" screen. It was not expensive, a little downgrade from my 17" previous Asus. Was getting Blue Screen Of Death this morning, went out and about this afternoon, came home to deal with it, and couldn't even get my old one to power up (about 4 years old). I have to admit, I've been lucky. This is only my 4th computer in about 22 years. :)

83 in the house right now. And really, it doesn't feel too bad, other than the headache that I might have got due to being out in the sun too much this afternoon on the golf course.

Bedtime may be another issue.

I switched on my A/C tonight, just for sleep. It wasn't bad, only about 82-83 in here, but figured what the heck. Gonna shut it off tomorrow morning.

Never felt that hot today, but that air was THICK.

All windows open, and I'm still at 82. If I hadn't been in OKC, the landlady's air conditioning guy might've been here this week, but nope. Ugh.

The heat might have been what killed your laptop!
