Nah, it's a pretty common tourist thing. There aren't too many places you can get that close to a ship, especially with the security restrictions put in place by a LOT of places.

Actually lightroom is far easier to use, and it is actually designed for photographers. And at a pricepoint of $199 without a student discount, etc etc. It is affordable for photographers at all skill levels. It is non destructive editing, and you can keyword and rank all your photos, so you can find stuff alot easier.

Photographers started using photoshop mostly because that was all that was around when photos started being digital. Photoshop, all be it a powerful tool, is really ment for graphic design work, or photo art. But for the basic retouching, etc, etc it really isnt easy to use. And it doesnt catelog or manager your photos, in addition to doing about 80-95% of the editing that photographers used to do in photoshop. Some work for pro photographers still needs to be done in photoshop, but otherwise it is lightroom baby......

I just wish I had started using lightroom earlier.

But, that aside, I do need Photoshop for the class I'm subbing, as that's what they use.

So, apparently that Mensa candidate Hokydad got PC91 banned. I've reported him for it and asked for PC91 to be reinstated. I think others should follow suit. Or at least neg rep him as much as possible.

LOL!!! I do want to get some dark room equipment, the bathroom in my apartment has a huge counter space and I just in the last year or so got my self a little kodak brownie and I keep looking at other medium and large format cameras. But yeah lightroom is an adobe product.

We made it back to Mpls alive. Orleans is a really boring place. Nothing really happens there especially on Bourbon street at 5 am. The bars close at 6 am. We were definitely on the highway to hell (at least that's what the band said) but we had a blast on the way.

Bigblue_dl's bed was rocking all weekend unfortunately he was the only one in it. All though that's not entirely true since I ended up in it at one point.

He crashed on my bed while I was sleeping in it and since I wasn't looking to cuddle with him nor did I feel like trying to move him back to his bed I moved to his bed. Apparently when bigblue_dl is drunk he likes to cuddle with other guys.

There is more to the story but some things are better left unsaid. Some of the things that happen in Orleans as best left there.

This ticks me off. I'm not put off from math because I'm a girl, or because my teachers were as well. I have had some fantastic female math teachers who did nothing but encourage me, but you know what? I'm just not that strong in it.
