Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 99: You can get anything you want, at Fooper's Restaurant.

Morning!

If it makes you feel better, at least 1 person will never see it. I refuse to use Facebook. :D

A bunch of my college friends are on and were insisting I needed to do it. I said only if someone came and did it for me as I was totally not interested. I thought I was safe~ I had been trying to get together with my friend since August and we hadn't managed. She heard that and poof~ breakfast at my house the next week. Funny that now I am on it It seems to make no difference. The only good thing is I can keep in contact with my cousin in Scotland without as much effort.

Oh, will your cousin in Scotland send me some scotch? :D

Good Morning.
Not feeling great this morning, but I'm toughing it out. I think I'm just a little dehydrated, so I'm in the process of downing a huge glass of water.
Oh and now that this is out, who the hell is everyone on FB? I have a list of people I have a general idea of who they are but some of them I only can guess. If I was into logic I could figure it out but I am not. Except for the commie- he is easy. and Brent because, well, he is Brent.
I'm pretty sure huskyfan recommended you as someone I should add as a friend, but I never did anything with it, so it is still pending.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 99: You can get anything you want, at Fooper's Restaurant.

I bet you do...

I'm saving my <s>money</s> liver for F5.

Isn't the F5 the same weekend as all the other conference tournaments? I guess if you're quite sure your school won't be at your conference tournament, you can make plans to visit another. What are the actual dates? I doubt I'll be watching my team at the Garden.

Well, the cat is out of the bag now. I never realized how pervasive this is.

One of the reasons I am so hesitant.

Morning!

Make that two, although this may make be change my mind. :D ;)

I'm not on it either. I feel I need to join soon, if only from a business persepctive. We're doing more and more with social media and it will be difficult for me to recommend and develop plans around it for my internal clients if I don't do it myself. I may need my nieces to give me a crash course in it.

No, the Final 5 is just that much more awesome than the CCHA tournament.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 99: You can get anything you want, at Fooper's Restaurant.

Uh-oh. It's going to be a loooong year.

I was watching the local ten o'clock news last night. The weather report was given and then the station took a commercial break. The first ad that popped up on the screen was for Ken Buck, described as a conservative, anti-Obama, republican candidate for the U.S. Senate from Colorado. Personally, I don't care which candidate was running the ad. Yesterday was January 26th. There's still about a week left in January. After that, there's nine full months from February through October. Then another nine days until Election Day in November. In total, from last night until Election Day, there's just short of 9 1/2 months and already campaign ads are sprouting on TV screens.

It's going to be a loooong year.

Morning, kids! Logging in from the classroom (talk about high tech!). :) Class doesn't start for another half hour, so instead of doing the reading like a responsible student (I actually did it last night :p ) I'm goofing off.

S'upp y'all... I'm goofing off too, in the head!

Since BU is unlikely to make any postseason runs, you should start planning that trip to the Final Five (3/18-3/20). :D

...and Brent because, well, he is Brent.

What's THAT supposed to mean?!?!?!? Oh. Nevermind. :p

Truth.

And FB is the devil, but I use it to keep in touch with everyone, since it's way easier that way than using email. Still, I try and lock down who can generally search for me on there.

I was told that LinkedIn is supposed to do that from a business prospective. Although I have an account, I rarely use it.

And well Winger, no matter how much money I offer you, I just can't really picturing you becoming a dyed in the wool Laker Girl, so, if you don't mind, I'll just drive the Zamboni for GVSU, thank ya very much. ;)
If I cant drive then I am not going! HMPH!

With regards to Mardi Gras, I was told by a guy who lived down there that you should go to New Orleans the week before Mardi Gras instead. The parties are supposedly just as good, but you can still move around the city. During the week of Mardi Gras, it's supposed to be one giant cluster* and you can't move anywhere. But it's got to be the funnest cluster* I've ever heard of.
Yeah I heard the same thing.

I've also heard that if you're a cracka, you would be best advised to stay on the main drag, and stay off the unbeaten path. Lots of shady stuff down there.
I heard the same, lots of unsolved murders and stuff down there. French Quarter is fine, but outside of that you might not be found again.
Then again I am not sure how much of this applies to Post Katrina New Orleans. Which is too bad, there are some really nice areas besides the French Quarter I wanted to check out.

The nice thing about facebook is you can customize the security that different groups of people see. Like my old boss friended requested me, I knew I couldnt not accept him as a friend because he would get all offended, so I gave him access to my limited profile, which didnt see my wall or my status messages. I think that is the really great thing about facebook.

I was told that LinkedIn is supposed to do that from a business prospective. Although I have an account, I rarely use it.
My linked in account is starting to have more activity. But honestly I think alot of it is because I have changed jobs recently.

And FB is the devil, but I use it to keep in touch with everyone, since it's way easier that way than using email. Still, I try and lock down who can generally search for me on there.
Yeah FB is alot easier to stay in touch with people.

Good morning Lodge.

Regarding FB. I have a page but I am not a good FB customer. I might visit it once a month and I probably have about 100+ people waitng to be my friend but I am to lazy to respond. :o

The CCHA party is supposed to be pretty awesome, but yeah, it's tough to beat a combined Final Five and St. Patty's Day celebration, even in the relative partying backwater that is downtown St. Paul.

I was told that LinkedIn is supposed to do that from a business prospective. Although I have an account, I rarely use it.

Likewise, though I've been steadily getting more friend requests through that service. Once I eventually finish writing up my profile, I'll go through and actively look for people.

Morning, Lodge.
