Good morning, Lodge. For the first time in a year and a half, I don't hear the sound of settling; I hear the sound of good things approaching.

That has a good ring to it.

Today is the first day since Thanksgiving that I am doing my usual Monday routine. It is nice to get back to normal. (well, normal is relative)

This morning, all the demo people at Sam's were called in for a meeting, informed that our department was cut, and that we were no longer employed. While this sucks in the interim, at least now I can look for and find something better.

That sucks. I will say I am always amazed with your positive attitude. Hopefully you can find something better now.

Hello everyone!

I didn't die. But last night was incredible. Bourbon street never closes! We got back to hotel for a couple hours of sleep, now going out to eat and tailgating and such.

Yeah New Orleans is pretty awesome

I had entertained the idea of applying for another position within Sam's, but after some thought, I deserve better, and I'll be ****ed if I don't get it.


Yeah; corporate decided to go with a third party. We were told we could apply for a job with that company, but there were no guarantees.

The potroast was wonderful last night. The FB game ending sucked, as did the college hockey from the weekend. It finally stopped raining and is now snowing here in 612/952 land. Hope everyone's week is off to a good start.

Mama Priceless has decided to compete with me. What was supposedly a fracture hasn't healed in almost 3 months, so she sought a 2nd opinion. After an MRI it was revealed that she had a break in the fibula and some ligaments that are torn to hell. Either Feb 11 or 18 she'll go in for surgery. The surgery is only scheduled for 45 minutes, and she'll come home the same day. The problem is she's going to be off her feet for 3-4 weeks, and this house isn't exactly wheelchair-friendly.

It also means I won't be going to Boston for the Hockey East finals, so the party at the Four's is off. I'm very disappointed because I've been looking forward to this for so many reasons, but her health comes first. I'm going to look into the possibility of going to Detroit but we'll see how the recovery goes.

Hi, Lodge. Back in MQT. My sub day was canceled because the teacher didn't want to drive the hour to her doctor's appt--she thought the roads would be bad. Turns out they were fine. Better safe than sorry, but I'm a little irritated.

When I was a kid playing with my dad's wheelchair was the best toy!!! But I remeber when he first got injuried and living in the house we were in. At the time it seemed fine, but it was tiny. Things you dont consider until you have a wheelchair in the house, like door widths and plug hights.

Personally I prefer puma, because I am not old enough to be a cougar, but I think right now I have certainly earned the title, the guy I am dating is 8 years younger than me.

So, in the last 36 hours, I have found out that two different friends of mine from NMU's band are pregnant. I realize it's pretty common for people my age to start reproducing, but it still a bit shock inducing. Holy hell.
