How you could think my chest, stomach, back and legs covered in a red rash would even remotely be hot or sexy is beyond me

paging Bakunin!

Bakunin, you are wanted in the lodge, stat.

How you could think my chest, stomach, back and legs covered in a red rash would even remotely be hot or sexy is beyond me. I feel like a leper.

Did that help?

Yep. "Rash" did it. Thanks. :)

But honestly, when you say "not face paint, but body paint" the mind starts to wander. :p

Making homemade bbq chicken and caramelized onion pizza tonight. :) Just waiting for the dough to rise.
Sounds delicious!

:o  :p

Ok, I've had enough fun for one day. Thanks again to everyone for all the kind thoughts and letting me bore you with my saga. It really was therapuetic in a warped kind of way!

Here's to hoping I don't regret not taking that script for pain killers (don't say a word, 'ewe!).

G'night to tLodge! ;)
Glad to hear you're feeling better!

Evening, Lodge. Made spinach, tomato, and feta pasta tonight for dinner. Actually turned out well.

And tomorrow, I'm buying my first car. Granted, it's a '96 Dodge Avenger with over 172K miles on it, but it should be alright until later this year, when I buy something much better.

Why would the WCHA hold its finals in Albany?

So maybe Albany could be justified and get more than 25% capacity. You figure the WCHA would bring an extra person or 3.;)

I suppose the ECAC format wouldn't work if they're stuck on trying to keep their Final FiveSix championships, as it doesn't end with 6 teams.

'ewe, AC is easy to explain. This way NoDak could go gamble and cause a big NCAA scandal.

DSL is fine if you're close to a PoP (point of presence) location. The further you are from the PoP the slower your speeds will be. A friend of mine was right next to Verizon's PoP and his speed was awesome. I've had cable Internet for 11 years and haven't really had a problem. If you are close to a PoP, go with that.

You can check the providers at dslreports.com to see if people who use the various services report any problems or variance from recorded speed vs what they pay for in their package.
Yeah, I have DSL here and out in the sticks a bit. Its not so bad, but it does get slow from time to time and you gotta do that whole reset the modem thing. Kind of annoying. Only other problem I have with it is whenever there's some thunder and lighting around and the DSL will go on the blink wherever there's a strike somewhere. Not sure why, but it does.
FTR - one of the IT guys (uber geek) at work says that Cable may be faster, but DSL wins the race. I can only get DSL where I live, and use it for gaming (MW2 and other online games) and only notice slow downs when my wife is doing a bunch of emails with big attachments or is streaming video.
I have been known to turn off the wireless and claim it's "broken" while playing MW2. I have an ethernet line run right to my Xbox. So far, she's none the wiser
I used to unplug my brothers connection to the net when he was running a cord to the internet whenever he was downloading a bunch of stuff and slowing me down. :o

Awesome. Everyone has stories of Comcast's pathetic customer service.

I'm proud of the Yost student section from Saturday. When coming back from commercial breaks (the game was airing on Comcast) a chant of "we hate Comcast" broke out. :D

My fun story is that for the 3rd time I am trying to get Comcast to stop charging me for a modem when I am using my own modem. In college (6 years ago) my roommate bought a modem. I returned the Comcast one and started using his modem. 3 months later I look at my bill and relize they are still charging me. Get that settled. Move to my own apartment after school. Get billed for a Comcast modem though I am still using my modem. Several phone calls later, get that cleared.

Recently moved again. Idiot they sent to set up my cable gave me some story about not being able to use my modem because Canton was different than Ann Arbor, blah blah, different account number. I ended up setting the internet up myself, using my modem, with no problems. I finally looked closely at my bill in December and called to request they stop charging me for a Comcast modem. I go through the same stupid procedure of giving them the s/n which I am now accoustomed to, they say they'll remove the charges from my bill. I get my next bill it claims I short-payed them ('cause I didn't pay for a modem) and they are still charging me.

Anyway, I call last week and now they say they have to send someone to my house. I ask when this changed, she gives me some story, claims she asked her boss if there was anything they could do, blah blah, someone will be there between 8-12. Guy gets there at 12:30 or whatever and asks what he needs to fix. I explain my service is working just fine and tell him the modem story. He looks at me confused. Goes and looks at my modem, writes down the s/n and leaves.

I have yet to see if the issue is finally resolved.
So, they basically sent a guy out there to look to see that you had your own modem working perfectly with their service? What a load of Crap!!!

i took it but had no issue.

bcs foozball got low marks;)
Yeah, I can't imagine that NCAA Lacrosse did all that well here. :D

Did I mention that I finally got a cell phone on Saturday?

I suspect that they will now go out of common usage. :)
Cripes, you didn't have one. Nowadays, I'm more shocked at people that don't have a cell.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 98: Favorite Alter Ego

Never had a problem with Comcast. Or Best Buy. Any problem that came up, there was little dispute, and both more than corrected said problem.
