Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 97: ways to train a dragon

hey Shot, instead of watching hockey, why don't you drive up to Minnesota and run Brent over with your car? I think everyone would be satisfied with that.

Nah. If I have a slow weekend I have a standing offer to show up at Uncle Ray's house for a hot meal and all the margs he can concoct. :)

I may head down to the Springs for one of the CC-Wisc games as I haven't seen the Badgers in person this season and Wisconsin doesn't come to Magness Arena this season.

The Pioneers have a challenging stretch in the next month as they play Wisc-NoDak-Minn in 6 of their 8 next games. There's a two game buffer in there with a home game against Mercyhurst and a road game against Air Force. Entering the season I thought the Denver-Air Force game might really be a terrific game given the Falcons' success in recent seasons. Frank Serratore's squad has struggled more than I expected this season, but I still think that game could be close.

As a longtime WCHA fan, I'm pleased to see so many of the league's teams highly ranked in the polls. No, the polls in and of themselves don't guarantee post-season success, but it's nice to see several WCHA teams positioning themselves as legitimate contenders for this year's NCAA title.

I'm confident the Minn-NoDak series this weekend will be hotly contested. I hope you get a chance to attend or at least watch it on the tube.

Just got back from lunch with some co-workers, yay for free lunch!
We went to an Indian restaurant, it was the first time I've tried Indian food...it was tasty, but I have a feeling of dread, or something much worse, in my stomach that the Indian food will only be in my stomach for approximatedly 45 minutes.

My silly company scheduled the holiday party for Friday night. The wife and I are going to the party and the kid is taking a teammate and his dad to the game on our tickets.:( I'll DVR it, of course, and may get to see the end of the game if we leave the party early.

All three of us will go to Saturday's game (kid will skip a practice to do so).

16-4-2.

Home series against Miami this weekend.

Bid submitted.

Hammer, Given Miami's performances against Bobby Morris last weekend, I'm guessing Coach Blasi has had his team's full attention in practice this week. The series should produce some entertaining hockey this weekend. I hope you get a chance attend the games. They should be fun. I expect the series won't be the last time these teams meet this season.

Does one not need reading comprehension skills to get into that northland country school? Sheesh. :p ;)
It's ASaaG who needs reading comprehension skills :D
1. Have a team
2. Have won in the last dozen games
3. Have a winning record
4. Don't want a DU fan cheering for us

Keep looking :p

After consulting with my attorney--RonHisHorseIsDogMeat--I have been advised not to cheer for a team whose mascot is a lame duck. Bid rejected.

Next bid please. :)

We're too dam cheap to have a Christmas party at Christmas time (also, no one would come because we're all doing family stuff then) so we have it now. I am taking MLK day off to go skiing with the kid (if there is any snow left after this thaw :( ).

Yeah, yeah, I know it's not really skiing on our little humps - not like the real thing you have out there.

Yeah boy, nothing says "Christmas Holiday Party" like....a Friday night.....at six o'clock....in mid-January?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 97: ways to train a dragon

I'm posting because the poll/pol/pohl/pole told me to. :D

polls don't matter.

So I was bored and changed my facebook language to "Pirate" I like that instead of "poke back" I got to "return fire". And instead of having a "poke" button it read "skewer". I think 'poke the sieve' would be much more fun in Pirate language.
