I've never really decided what my level of respect is for Michigan Tech as an academic institution, but if I had, I'm sure it would now be lower after reading those course descriptions.

Having attended tech, you should probably go a bit lower with your assessment.

The gen ed classes sucked, and didn't advance my education much. But the technical/engineering/science classes were the exact opposite.

I noticed today that the outdoor rinks are set up. My goal over the next week or so is to get out the skates, lace them up and then cough up a lung.

Couldn't? Please, I didn't want to be there or waste my money.

My favorite has always been my Calc 2 teacher who was unable to do example problems from the book, or speak basic english. Funnily enough, my best math teacher was from NMU working at MTU.

There are some great teachers there, and there are some really FML terrible ones.
