Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 93: Midseason Excellence

What route do you take? Or were you driving in from New Hampshire? Cuz while I know Boston traffic can be bad, there is no reason for it to take 2.5 hours from where you live to get into any part of the city.

Driving down 93 from Manchester. Traffic was basically a crawl from 495 to my office (where I'd rented the Zipcar). I would have looked for an alternate route, but I didn't have my GPS.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 93: Midseason Excellence

Does she know this yet? :p

She'll know it when she sees all the snow cleared out of the driveway, in front of our rural mailbox, double wide path cut to the propane tank (my propane guys love me) and a double wide path cut from the back door to the chicken coop. All she has to do is a 4' x 30' walk to the front door.

Full disclosure - It's only around 3" of light snow from the clipper that passed through last night. If it's a lot of heavy snow, I do it or call one of the kids to come over and help out. ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 93: Midseason Excellence

I was in a rental :p (I don't actually own a car anymore)

And it's not like a map or a GPS is really any good in Massachusetts. :o

This is true. We do not believe in street signs.

My friends and I learned the uselessness of GPS on our trip to Boston last year.

I prefer maps. They are fun.

Hi Lodge. Went to Notre Dame yesterday, watched my team lose, didn't get candy from the linesman, and got home late at night. :( But we did crack up at the Notre Dame band's version of "carol of the bells". Their words? "Hogan is bad, Hogan is bad....really really really really bad". Sure a 5 year old could write those lyrics, but that they had it rehearsed with all the parts was pretty funny.

We got about 3" last night as well. I am eager to get out and clear the driveway. I had it tarred a couple months ago and I am looking forward to not having to snowblow on gravel. Unfortunately I have a meeting that will go quite late tonight so I will have to wait until tomorrow morning.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 93: Midseason Excellence

I was looking forward to clearing the driveway tomorrow morning around 6 AM until I found out that the low should be near -15 below zero.........:(

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 93: Midseason Excellence

About a job, the Gophers or a nice present under the tree?

Job. Do or die week for the 'ole eagle.....I'm anticipating a Norm Peterson like meltdown at the moment of truth.
With a knick-knack, paddy whack......... :D
