Why, the weather is just fine here in Las Vegas

The blackjack, however, is not. I am getting pwn3d MTU-style. The dealer keeps getting 10's and I keep getting Dude Love cards.

Cirque du Soleil was cool. Also, someone tried to sell me crack on tStrip.

Morning Lodge.
Working on a capstone project all day for this training I'm in. Seems like it will be more interesting than the training itself.

Still very nervous that the Jeep won't start when I have to leave here...Yesterday was a struggle to get it started, as in it took about 5 minutes before I finally got it running so I thought it wouldn't die, and today feels colder.

$500 to fix a car isn't bad at all. What was wrong?

I hope that Volvo only brushed the wall, otherwise, oh boy...

belts were cracked in 5 places, brake fluid was black, and my coolant was no longer warming up. Essentially, I was driving down the road with frozen coolant. Eventually it kicked my car into a safety mode. Otherwise I was risking engine overheat.

And as for the Volvo...Quiz and I heard it crunch. The last things I saw were metal flying and the airbags deploying.

Cirque du Soleil was cool. Also, someone tried to sell me crack on tStrip.

Me too. I usually take the week between Christmas and New Years off, but since I'm new here, I'll be at work and on call on the actual holidays as well. This place runs 24/7/365.


Of course, it's a lot easier to take knowing that on 1/21 I leave for a couple days in Ft. Lauderdale, then a seven day cruise through the Western Caribbean.

Good morning Lodge.

Got half of my Christmas shopping completed last night. Now I need to find time to wrap presents and get to the post office (preferably by Saturday as my brother's family leaves for Florida the following Saturday).

Was able to get some of the wrapping done last night. Donated to the band sorority (Eastern Michigan) that was set up at Borders doing "free wrapping". Seems like a good idea for a fundraiser.
