I sincerely do not understand how a grammar Nazi like me and a grammar terror like you are actually dating. (Wait, how am I the Nazi, when you're the German???)
Anyways. Here's how your post should have read:

It was frickin' awesome spending quality time with my adorable girlfriend. Hell, even the part where my pants got soaked was pretty sweet. I'll post a picture of it sometime.

So PB has a second girlfriend that you know about?

We have mice. shiiting. in. our. silverware.

I have no words. I am so mad. Now instead of making cookies I get to disinfect and clean our entire goddamm kitchen and not put anything back where it belongs because the little *ers will just be back tonight, I'm sure. Tomorrow - poison.

DIY tips on getting rid of mice? Are they dumb enough to drink bleach?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 92: Let's Keep SiouxTechie Out

Chicken Carbonerra FTW!!!!!!!

I like the beef too, but I'm not as young as you guys. I have to pick and choose my choices, especially with to go food.
Chicken Carbonerra is not the healthiest of choices. It does have bacon, mushrooms, and this sauce that really goes well with that combo. I usually order it on whole wheat or the flat bread. Then it seems "healthier".
For me, it's all about the Honey Bourbon Chicken on whole wheat.

Tonight's dinner will probably be meatloaf or pasta with meaty marinara sauce... haven't decided.

Yuck.
Remember if you use poison and cannot find the carcass you could be in for a smelly several weeks.

I'm sorry - I Lol'd at that. :D

:o

Anyway - traps traps and more traps. keep them going until you haven't caught one for a couple of weeks. Borrow a friends cat if you don't have your own and you don't mind them
Good luck

A few weeks ago I placed some Decon in the garage. The only critter that ate any of it was little gII.

I turned my back for a second and he was helping himself to a little treat within seconds. Mrs g. was close to having a heart attack. I called poison control and they said "don't worry about it. Not a big deal." I on the other hand turned to Mrs. g and said call 911! Followed by "not!" She didn't find any of it very humorous. :)

I like the old fashioned spring traps. Breaks their neck real quick, you hear it go off and know it's time to empty the trap. They're cheap, easy to set, use peanut butter for bait. No poison to worry about, no smelly carcass behind the wall or in the drawer or cabinet base.

They got in our attic a couple years ago in the fall. I trapped about two dozen before I stopped finding them. Then I got the tree branches trimmed away from my house so they had no route in.

Or get a cat. :D

This ^

The best and least expensive mouse trap was invented decades ago. They're still cheap, and if it's a mess, throw the whole thing away. They're less than a dollar each.
I used to use PB, but a guy showed me that a single jumbo sunflower seed jammed into the trigger will get them every time. I've had mice successfully lick all of the PB off without springing the trap. with the seed they have to mess around on the trigger. SNAP!!!!!!!!
I've also had mice devour their nest mates who were caught, which I find a little disturbing :o

Yeah, I've had them lick the PB off sometimes too so that's a good point. I've had the little cannibals too.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 92: Let's Keep SiouxTechie Out

Go and get the sticky "humane" traps.
Put some peanut butter in the middle of the sticky stuff.
The harder they fight the worse they get stuck.
And if another comes along, it's a two-for-one.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 92: Let's Keep SiouxTechie Out

Unless bacon is available! :D
Bacon is pork, and goes equally well with chicken and beef, so it doesn't need to enter into this conversation. :p

Spring traps, with peanut butter, also tie a cherrio to the trap itself with fishing line, so they trip it and not just steal the bait.
Yeah, I've had them lick the PB off sometimes too so that's a good point. I've had the little cannibals too.
I hear that the ctf likes to lick the PB off sometimes also.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 92: Let's Keep SiouxTechie Out

Do I drive home now (on time) in the strong winds, hoping to beat most of the traffic and any idiots that can't drive? Or, do I work late and hope to not deal with idiots by having stayed late?

decisions. At least it's not percipitating at the moment. Just windy as *

edit: I'm also wondering if I'll be able to find my trash can when I get home. It's fairly large and somewhat heavy even empty.

Please don't let me go home to see my awesome house damaged by stupid winds.

Weather says 50-60 mph wind gusts. All I know is that sitting at work the wind is really loud.

Go now while it's still light outside.

That's pretty cheap for a cat. But I agree, if it's a mess...just throw it away. :D ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 92: Let's Keep SiouxTechie Out

This place sucks and my feet, shoes, and surrounding desk area smell thanks to my shoes getting wet due to the stupid weather.

But I'm having steak for dinner :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 92: Let's Keep SiouxTechie Out

Shotgun the little suckers... It'll blow them to bits and you'll have nothing left to clean up

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 92: Let's Keep SiouxTechie Out

Greetings all. Had our department holiday outing today. We all volunteered in the morning, then had a lovely lunch at Marina Bay. Everyone else went home for the day but I had to come back here to the office. I'm such a trooper.

The weather today is gross, but it's mostly been rain. And some slush. I totally forgot to take something out of the freezer for dinner. Looks like english muffin pizzas for supper!
