Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

Even though I was very disappointed that the 100k thread did not involve a speech or fireworks or champagne or a invitation to a ttp.........I did not do it. ;)

That sounds like a full confession to me. Let's take him out back and string him up!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

and who usually starts those threads?

I just checked and the only person who has started those threads who I thought might have done it didn't, because the number of threads that he started agrees with my records. Here is the current list:

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

LISTEN TO ME: Turn around, and walk out of the jewelry store. Don't do it.

For the love of Parise, man......DON'T DO IT!:D

Bah!

I liked getting married so much, I did it twice! :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

GLM said I'm a giant vag if I don't, so I'm taking his advice instead. ;)

Just remember this: You will--in the very near future--learn to hate pictures, colors, music and tax + automatic gratuity.

And pants. But we all hate pants anyhow, so.....:D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

well now, I've got to go. but when I get back I'm expecting :

pictures of the ring.
full disclosure on the proposal.
the culprit that hijacked tRalph brought to justice.

ok?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

So I 'm down cellar (I can do the stairs a couple times a day if I take it slow) and my mother wants me to get some stuff out of a tote. Where's the tote? Under a box.

Where's the box? Right on top of the tote.

That's a big help...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

Done some ring research, have we?;)

FWIW ring research should be done. Before I bought the rock for Mrs. g I spent quite a bit of time learning the 4 c's of diamonds. Also I spent time researching certain "tactics" some jewelers will use to make the diamonds appear better than they actually are. I am glad I did the research as I was really amazed at how often "reputable" jewelers pulled some crap. If they pulled anything sneaky I would take out my list of jewelers (in front of the salesperson) and scratch them off the list and exit the store.

True. I had some dbag try to tell me that the 1.5 carat crapstone he was trying to sell me was WAY nicer than the 1.25 carat near-flawless diamond I was buying for $1k less. Needless to say, I went with the slightly smaller rock.

The crapstone salesman also happens to be a member at the golf club I play at. I beat him like a drum that weekend in the annual invitational, 7 & 5 in match play.:D
