Lots of rain in MN today

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

Good Morning Lodge.

Weather is chitty and the outlook for work today looks boring...

I'm trying to figure out plans for GLI now, if I'm going to drive I'll probably have to take more time off work, so I might have to shift some days around. I'd much rather just fly, but it would be much cheaper to drive, especially if there is a crew of people.

Morning Lodge.

I plan to drive to the GLI...of course, I could take the bus, but then I'd only get to watch one game each day. However I get there, I intend to blow (my trumpet) while at the games.

There may be room for crashing at wT's place if people are interested (this also holds true for Frozen Four).

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

I'm beginning to lack the ability to sleep at night. I mean, it's not a huge deal, because I like staying out/up late some nights, but nights like tonight? when I have an exam tomorrow? and am going to be up really late tomorrow night?

SUCKS. :(

Ha. Ha. Ha. It's only just begun.

(Typically up until 1am most nights, awake at 6:30am. Usually every other week I'll fall asleep at 9 or 10pm sometime in the middle of the week, like last night, during the Yankees game. )

Morning!

Hangover Tuesday is thankfully over. Now we are on to work-from-home Wednesday. Followed by happy hour Thursday and PTO Friday. :D

I'm not sure it would that much cheaper unless you can find people to drive with. Otherwise I bet you could get to Detroit for $150 or less roundtrip.

tickets were over $300 roundtrip, I'm guessing they pricey between christmas and new years

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

One of my friends from Tech wants me to fly to Detroit for the GLI and hang out, watch the games, drink, crash at a hotel with her and her 2 friends, who I also know from Tech. Of the 3, 2 are very good looking and 1 is a little better than "Tech hot". Me and 3 girls watching hockey, drinking and crashing at a hotel in Detroit, this sounds like a helluva good time to me!:D  :D

edit: except for the part about it being Detroit...

Who would want to come to Detroit, that just sounds so dangerous.

Morning Lodge

Lots of rain in MN today

It has been raining here since yesterday afternoon. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and in the low 40's. If so, it should be a decent day to take some clients out and shoot some clays, shoot some birds and then wrap up the afternoon with some grilled food and a couple beverages.

Unfortunately, it's not just because of the holidays. For some reason, despite having a bunch of flights between the 2 hubs, Northwest (Delta) charges $300 or so for MSP to DTW roundtrip. I will never understand.

And Detroit's not soooo bad. Of course, I just go to the Joe and then go home. That's pretty much the only place in Detroit I actually know how to get to.

wT - you kids coming out for the lone game this weekend?

I wish. With our trip to Alaska a couple weeks ago and just the one game, no one was really up for a trip this weekend (and we have Penn State football at home).

Have fun though (even if you'll be cheering for the other team).

The goal now is to see if I can convince anyone to go on a road trip to Omaha Valentine's weekend, despite it being just one week after a trip to Madison.

Evil hockey schedule not working out perfectly for everything I want to do.

Lucky SOB - have fun!

I am taking a vacation day tomorrow and going bike riding to make for the lost weekend. The forecast is for a high of 78 degrees. :) It ain't bad today either.

Cold, gray, sloppy, fall morning here in Denver. Slate gray skies filled with a rain/snow mixture. Temp about 35 degrees and the weather guessers are saying by afternoon drive time one to two inches of snow may have fallen. Looks like it'll be a good night to watch the Avs beat the Minnesota Mild. Just like the Nuggets trashed the TPups last night and the Pioneers will do to the Golden Golfers this weekend. gmann it's gotta be a tough week for you to try and cheer for "your" teams in Minnesota. I understand why you're running away, shooting guns and drinking heavily. :D

As long as you're around, I'm not worried.
