Morning Lodge.

Day 3 of training...

My throat hurts and my ears are still ringing. They put on quite the show. I'm not so much a fan of their opening act, Lamb of God.
We didn't get there until before Metallica, we had no interest in seeing the other bands. My only complaint is that they didn't play Fade to Black. My ears are still ringing...

Mmmmmmmmm, Blizzards!

Good morning, team. I leave for DC on Monday to chaperon my daughter's 8th grade class trip. Can anyone recommend a good sedative. :)

A Minnesota legend. Feet, many feet of snow on Halloween of '91. I remember trick or treating in snow about mid-thigh deep.

I was there! I remember it start snowing during school...and not thinking anything of it. Then our bus got stuck in the snow on the way home. We somehow got out of it. Then I remember trick or treating and all the other kids whining that they wanted to go home. I was like no! I kept going and got a boatload because the neighbors were so shocked we were out there. :)

GE - Baileys. :) Mix with Benadryl for added effect.

Morning, kids! Yesterday I wore a sleeveless dress to work, today I have on a sweater dress with pants and a scarf. Love Boston in the fall! :)

Just checking in. Will be calling my sister tonight, rather than last night. Needed time to just chill and then didn't want to bother her too late.

oh, yesterday...interesting day. I was flying with a mean captain who told me at one point I don't really belong on the flight deck. We're going into Aspen where you don't *k around. Sure enough, the weather down there is *tty. I mean, to the point we have to climb out of the valley and get above the mountains. This happens TWICE!

In our procedures, if we lost an engine, it says that we may not have the performance to climb out of this mess. Luckily, that didn't happen. When we finally did make it into Aspen, he actually said to me "good job."

I was smug for a day. :)

I like the image of CAH and Red Cloud as Sith Lords:

Darth Beericus and Darth Sarcasticus.

And I am now the biggest nerd of all time.

Morning Lodge.

Hopefully today will be better than yesterday. Yesterday I wanted to beat people unconcious just so they would be unable to eff things up any further.

Speaking of DC, I'm trying to book a flight there for a business trip the first week in November and the US Air shuttle is almost $500! That's ridiculous!!

The Shots have a big night on tap. Mrs. Shot we'll be choosing our dining destination for the evening from one of several of our favorite downtown bistros and after our meal we'll be heading to the DCPA for a performance of Wicked [a comedic look at the witches in The Wizard of Oz]. It's the third time Wicked has come through Denver and the second time we'll be seeing it. The script's dialogue is updated to include several local references depending on where the play is being performed. The result always elicits peals of laughter from the audience. We're looking forward to a midweek night of the "good life." :)
