And we can build this thing together, stand in stone forever, nothing's gonna stop us now.
And if this world runs out of lovers we'll still have eachother.
Nothing's gonna stop us, nothing's gonna stop the Purple now.

I just made myself a grilled cheese sandwich. Haven't had one in a while. It was yummy.

Off line to mookie -- prior to the game tonight they're having a ceremony down in the FOH lounge, re-dedicating it in Meryl's honor. If you're there early enough, you might want to stop down. You too, ewe!. It should take place between 5:45 and 6:00pm.

Ah - so I won't be seeing you at The Bar Formerly Known As T's prior to tonight's game? I figure I'll need a drink after I finish dealing with the ticket office. (I still have no season tickets. )

Call from a Mister Rimbaud on line one, bbdl, Mister Rimbaud on line one.

And Richard Simmons is still holding on line two.

No, I do dinner in the Club Room prior to the game. What's going on with your tickets??? I need to drop off my away game ticket order form and pick up my game tickets to the MSG game (got an email that they could be picked up starting tonight).

They're "gone". I called in August to update my address so that they'd be shipped to the right place. Whomever I spoke to didn't do it, so they were shipped to the old address. UPS either left them there or returned them to the printer (unclear), and now they're "gone". I'm supposed to pick up the Agganis printed out ones tonight, but it's taken a bit of the shine off the beginning of the season (tons of phone phone calls [probably 10-12], no pin, no fancy tickets, etc) and has made me reconsider tickets next season - particularly if I do end up back in school full-time or am in the application process for grad. school. I realize it's a cut off your nose to spite your face approach, but it was an added stress in a time that I really didn't need the stress. Luckily I started Scott's book, so I'm getting back in the mood.

(not related - I do have my MSH bracelet on still...)

You should still be able to get the pin. Go to the customer service booth behind your section. Getting it was based on paying by a certain date, not getting the actual tickets. And wow, that really sucks about them. They should be able to tell if someone confiscated them based on the bar code, right? Meaning, if someone took them and tried to use them, can they make some sort of alert in the system that whenever that coded ticket gets scanned they know it was used by someone who doesn't own them? I wonder if that is possible.

Will do - I'm not that upset about the pin, more just that it was a huge hassle (and the second time that there's been an issue with my tickets).

And yes, using the barcode, only my set of tickets will be active (theoretically).

Either way - I'm looking forward to tonight (and to reading more of the book on the T - I just read the description of Higgy and the other teammates and it had me in fits of giggles).

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

I thought he meant TAJen.

We had/have a Deere also. Great machine. :)
Yeah, TA Jen was the one I was talking about. KC keeps a low profile these days, but makes appearances. Jen, not so much.

For those of you keeping score at home, Mrs. g is a teacher. This morning a group of people entered her class. The principal, school administration, school board members and executives from a "large retailer". They surprised Mrs. g with a large box of school supplies for her classroom that included a printer, digital camera and essential classroom materials worth more than $1,000 per gift. Apparently she was one of 3500 teachers from across the coutry that was nominated then recognized for her efforts.

Cripes, I hope they left her with the receipt. I will cash it in and put the money down on the Gophers humiliating ohio state this weekend. :p
Very cool.

Hi there kids! back from San Diego. Might I just say that the San Diego airport is woefully deficient in the breakfast foods category?
So, what you're saying is that they're short on Bacon??

Thanks everyone. He'll be home tomorrow. He blames it on the Saturday Sioux/Gopher game. :D

He had pain in his left arm at work, tells the receptionist to let a coworker know that he can't give him a ride home*...and drives himself to the emergency room. His boss' wife (also good family friends) was absolutely furious with him that he drove himself (For reference TC people...he works around The Local and is at Abbot Northwestern). Abbot's new heart wing is really nice. My brothers and I found it funny that for being one of the top heart hospitals in the country the only food choice there after the cafeteria closes is...McDonald's.

As for work. He probably won't go back tomorrow. But, he will probably have my mom run downtown to his office to get work for him to do and work from home and be back Wednesday. He'll go crazy if he's stuck at home with nothing to do all day.

*This coworker is also a good friend of the family and he lives fairly close to us. He called my mom on her phone and got the news that all was well. Then calls our home phone and says "Tell your dad thanks for the ride...I have to walk home now." Then let my brother know he knew he was ok.:D
I'm no heart surgeon, but I believe he's got a fairly good excuse to take the week off of work.

Afternoon kids. Today at class, one of the techniques we learned today was Hacking. I just thought I would share that with everybody else. :D

And I mixed up KC8NIY with Baltimore Islanders who has indeed disappeared. You ask, how I mixed them up? Well, in my mind KC8NIY is Kansas City Islanders when I change NIY to NYI. (I can't think up a better excuse. ;) )

That is exactly what I'm saying. However, if the NCAA ever saw fit to put a FF in that city, I would be the first to sign up.

Me neither, rumor has it he's a dirty boy...

All the more reason to let him try to work that kink out of my lower back. ;) :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

The trick is to keep your wrists lose when you do it. ;) Basically, its the karate chop thing. ;)

So, that's what the young kids are calling it these days.

Get to the FF this year and I should be proficient enough by then to take care of that little problem for ya Scarlett. ;)
