Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

Morning!

Bought my tickets for Thanksgiving in Atlanta today. Normally not a destination for most people, however my mom lives there. So it makes a bit more sense. :)

Good morning Lodge.

Morning Lodge.

So I met my first USCHO poster, and it was one of the Original Six* Smokin' Hot Chicks!

I met wolverineTrumpet and her band of Michigan fanatics at the Sullivan Arena here in Anchorage last Friday & Saturday, and it was a party. I remember Saturday better than Friday (the beer's fault, not mine), but we sat with a Michigan cheering section lustily led by wT yelling:

"Stick it in there!"
"You know they want it!"

I couldn't have been more smitten! The cowbell cheer is also a favorite. And wT: the kid sitting on the other side of Trey kept interrupting us saying: 'That Michigan girl is cute!' I told him to back off (which was doing you a favor, for two reasons: you already have a boyfriend, and because after working with the the kid all week I think he might be a serial-killer.)

Sadly, I have to depart this enchanted city on Saturday, without having seen snow. We did climb Mount Alyeska on Monday, and the views were spectacular. Now, some might say I polluted the clear mountain air when I lit my cigar, but I say I perfected the near-perfect moment.

All in all, I vote Anchorage as the city I most want to live in someday.

wT: It was great to meet you! Let's do that again some day!

* Technically, there were only five original Smokin' Hots, but Original Six Smokin' Hot Chicks just has such a great ring to it.

Flattery will get you everywhere.
And which of the Michigan girls did the kid keep saying was cute...I think one of the friends that was with me is single. Of course if you advise against it, it's probably better left alone.

It was awesome meeting you. Let me know when you and the family make it to Yost!

Good Morning Lodge.

Day 4 of training...

I woke up this morning, looked at my blackberry to see what the weather is...32 degrees and raining, I really wish I could have just gone back to sleep.

I just can't keep up with teh Lodge.
I'm like: Uh, my 6-yr-old totally kept his face in the water at swimming lessons for over three seconds! Yea!!!
And teh Lodge is like: When me and my hot single friend partied with you and your hot single roomie, it was a blast!
:o :o :o

Morning Lodge

It was nice to sleep all night without having to respond to alarms to stoke the woodstove in the tent. All in all a great trip, with lots and lots of grouse. The weather was cold, obviously. It never got higher than the '30's and was as low as 15 at night. It snowed every day. We were the only ones camping in the entire campground. Wolf tracks through camp on Sunday morning, but never saw them.
Now to unpack and start prepping for an inteview at the paper mill Monday.

:o When I read your post, I actually sighed and said out loud, "I miss those days."

Morning, kids! Back at work again today, however, there is a promise of free tickets to the new Jamie Foxx/Gerard Butler movie for tonight (free screening), so I'm thinking today might not be so bad... :)

I'm sorry.

Morning Lodge. In Wichita for most of the day...really, why do I have to fly here?

Make note to self. Do not schedule a trip to Vegas the weekend of the F4. :) :p ;) :D

knowing your job, they'll schedule some sort of work thing and you'll be screwed anyway.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

Golfing in the middle of a workday?? Where can I get a job like that??

Busy day, but am getting stuff accomplished. I have a dry run of a webinar from 4-5pm. It better end at 5pm as it's Thursday, and that means drinks with my friend and hottie bartender. We haven't been in a while.

You know how the cable company says you can expect the repairman between noon and 4p.m. and he shows up around 5:30? Well....

On another note - got a fun neg rep from redhawkman10. He's kind of like UnionHockeyManiac, if UHM took himself more seriously.

Boy you don't have a life do you child. Your so pathetic you follow me around a throw neg reps out. Are you that jealous of me?? Please get a life, if you can that is. And no having dinner with your mom doesnt count...RHM

Oh, that's right. Thursday is mid-day siesta time here in THE LODGE. That's why there are no posts. Carry on with your power naps. ;)
