Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

I know a couple people with DUI's. One was right at .08 (just after the law changed from .10) and the other was someone who I really trusted. They drastically changed their habits after that. The latter person, that person called me for a ride from jail. I declined. There was a lesson learned right then and there. You do something stupid? You pay. We're still friends and all, but that person is now very mindful when drinks are involved.

Edit: and I was a passenger in both cases.

Mind you, my girlfriend at the time was not with me. Nor would she have ever been, because she wouldn't let me be stupid like that.

If the person is a jerk and blows it off, then by all means break his arms and legs. I agree with that.

I had to mute my computer. 2 non-synced loops of The Ditty, and a 3rd song I couldn't make out made me want to stab a spoon in my ears...

I'm trying to push tDitties off the page so that third song can come through.

You're the best...around...

See, the two I was with (separate times) seemed absolutely sober by all accounts (others, including DD's, at the bar). The worst one (the latter one who wanted a ride from jail) even passed all the stupid human tricks, just failed the breathalyzer....badly. Only reason that person was pulled over? Didn't change lanes for a cop who had pulled someone over on the shoulder.

The stupid human tricks don't really measure anything. It's tough to do them WITHOUT looking drunk, even if you're sober. They're designed to give the cop reasonable suspicion to give you a breath test.

I have relatively weak ankles. I can't stand on one foot for 30 seconds stone sober without wobbling.

And I can't walk a straight line to save my life. :o

Unless you say, "ABC...HIJKQRS..." which has been reported as happening in the TC area. Not kidding.

And sorry, MNS. Had to do it (Union thread).:D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

The PC thread is competing with AIC and Union/SCSU. PC91's dad showed up... and MNS found someone he can make fun of! Everyone wins!

Yikes- way better than UML and UVM idiots sounding like siblings who hate each other.

Good Morning RFAlph!

Good work, gentlemen. Good work, indeed.

Good morning, Lodge! Subbing today, and I'm told there will be lots of math. :(

I didn't think about it at the time, but I strongly suspect that several, if not all, of the teachers that I had in elementary school had similar opinions about math.

Good morning, Lodge! Fantastic work last night... :)

Time to buy some groceries and get back here in time to make some lunch. Life is too good right now.
