Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 85: Pants or no Pants?

yeah...can't imagine that's an easy question...do you sugarcoat it or be a little more honest?

No sugar coating. Mrs. g and myself are very supportive and loving parents but we tell it how it is. Sugar coating will only cause more issues IMHO.

So, last night I told him he is different because he doesn't eat his vegetables and God is punishing him. No not really. :D :p ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 85: Pants or no Pants?

Because tickets are cheap on stubhub!:p ;)

Ya know, 95% of the time they aren't, but I found a pair of outfield 100's this past spring where 2 tickets still didn't cost as much as the face as 1.

Face = $75, got 2, with fees, for $60.

Sure doesn't look like I'll find any deals this time around though, no surprise either. Might have to go to the bar instead.

Never a bad idea.

If you fly out here to watch, I'm hoping to get tickets, and since it is the Twins, they will be much cheaper than what you're looking at. Heck it might be cheaper to fly to Minneapolis, go to a game at the Dome and fly back to New York than it is to just buy tickets to watch a game at Yankee Stadium.:p

I guess that's one way to get him to eat broccoli, but yeah, I can see how sugar coating it would not help the situation. I think too many parents are the "oh you're perfect, Billy Bob" type of parents, when really, Billy Bob is not.

Yeah, think how much healthier you would be emotionally if your parents had been upfront with you. :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 85: Pants or no Pants?

This is the interesting wedding for those of you who have been following the saga. Poor tcbg will be there to keep me company :o

(I'm sure it won't be as bad as I'm worrying it will be, but I'd rather prepare for the worst and hope for the best.)
Eh, at worse you'll get some alone time in a king size hotel bed, where you two can be as bad as you wanna be. ;)

You lost me at the croutons, but I've seen the PB+J in one bottle. Another idea: premade PB+J sandwiches, maybe with a slice of very mild cheese on each side to keep the bread from getting soggy. :)
I think they already sell something like that, only might not have the cheese in them. Uncrustables I think it is.

I just figured out what you're talking about with this. I am truly, truly sorry.

I just went to look as well. I truly am sorry bigmrg.
Yeah, with BB there being uber-coolaid-sipping homer for the Wings, Tigers, and Lions he's bad enough, but with NMU football being pretty good this year and looking like they could end up from anywhere from just making the playoffs to finishing over .500 this year, he's a bit much, especially if he does make it over to D2F. Although he'll be about as much fun to make fun of as the Nick Strance Bridage from Ashland. :D

Twas the "wingbat" comment that made me chuckle....thought there was some humorous symmetry there. :D
Obvously, you're not the wingbat I was talking about last night, but I did see that later as well. ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 85: Pants or no Pants?

Any opinions? Does anyone care?
Not really. But my apathetic vote would be for you to keep doing what you've been doing.

Can one give an assist to someone three passes back? Should one?
Kinda still not caring.

Do you know what the Yankees rotation will be for that series?
No matter their ALDS opponent, I expect the question of "who ultimately starts Game 4 for the Yanks?" is never answered.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 85: Pants or no Pants?

If you have beer #5 the only thing you'll be launching is beers #1 through #4 into the toilet. :D
I exercised discretion, and halted at four.

wT: I don't know where my Friday seats are (long story), but my two Saturday tickets are Section 116L, Row 7, Seats 102-103. So I should be right near you, eh?

The catch is, some of my associates are getting free tickets (via the USO or something), and I don't know if they'll be able to sit near us, so we might move. But I'll bet their tickets will be corner seats (since they're free), and perhaps after the first period they'll be able to join us in Sec. 116 if there are empty seats around.

In any case, I'll see you in Alaska on Friday. Go Blue!

my parents never sugarcoat anything. They said any Gopher fan is stupid. They were right. :D
