Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 85: Pants or no Pants?

I have a family wedding to attend this weekend as well. It's probably going to turn out something like the Clampett Family Wedding, especially when the groom and his family are from Georgia, and most of them look like Willie Nelson's brother, even the women.

This is the interesting wedding for those of you who have been following the saga. Poor tcbg will be there to keep me company :o

(I'm sure it won't be as bad as I'm worrying it will be, but I'd rather prepare for the worst and hope for the best.)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 85: Pants or no Pants?

I hear that there may be a football game tonight. Maybe I'll check it out.

Planning to attempt to get to the stadium, or just at a bar/house? If the second, I'd be interested in doing the same.

They need to combine peanut butter and jelly into a squeeze bottle and add some croutons... you'd never have to make a sandwich again.

You lost me at the croutons, but I've seen the PB+J in one bottle. Another idea: premade PB+J sandwiches, maybe with a slice of very mild cheese on each side to keep the bread from getting soggy.

And it's a long weekend coming up (granted, I'm in a wedding during the weekend and am missing the National Championship banner raising :( , but I get to stay in a nice hotel with a king-sized bed!).

Maybe you'll get something else rising for you at the hotel. ;)

Morning, Lodge. No word yet on the potential job, but other than that, life is good. :)

So it's going to be a Spectacle? That's what my brother in law called his sister's wedding.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 85: Pants or no Pants?

Do you know what the Yankees rotation will be for that series?

CC will start, then either Pettite or Burnett, the other for game 3. Joba has moved to the bullpen, giving us Joba, Hughes, Mo to shut down at the end.

Figures, they clearly didn't release any college-budget priced tickets. Ebay/stubhub it is!

king size beds are fine when I'm by myself, but when I'm with someone, it makes a more difficult cuddling time. :(

I'm sneezy this morning...and I have to have a root canal tomorrow. :(

I don't feel like spending the money to actually go to the game, shirtless guy got tickets, but won't take me because he needed to find another Packer fan to take. I'm just planning on watching it at home, you're welcome to come over if you want.

I agreed - this concern was discussed this weekend.

:( ouch -- good luck!

it'll be ok, I think. The cost was the worst thing about it, and I think it's going to be under 200 bucks, which is nice. He said I'll be in and out in an hour.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 85: Pants or no Pants?

So last night as I was reading little g his favorite bed time story he looked up at me and asked "how come I am different daddy?" F an A I was not ready for that.

As difficult as it was to respond to that it also made my day. For you see, the verdict is still out on little g regarding his cognitive ability. Yes, he has physical limitations which effect his movement and speech but for a three year old that was a fairly insightful comment IMHO. Also, it gives me hope and more reason to believe that everything is clicking upstairs. :)

yeah...can't imagine that's an easy question...do you sugarcoat it or be a little more honest?

That is awesome and lil g is a lucky kid in so many ways.
As a parent one of the hardest things I had to overcome was the fear of saying "I don't know". Once I got past that I used my kids natural curiosity to my advantage by looking things up together and later buying reference books (almanacs, Guinness World Records, etc.) so they could not only find the answer but also learned how to find the answer.
