Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 85: Pants or no Pants?

So I'm finally unpacking some boxes from my move to this apartment, and I found something neat I forgot I had--my grandpa's jacket from when he was in an Air Force Drum and Bugle Corps out of Duluth. :)

:(

Hey Lodge,
I'd like some advice (and am so desperate for it, I'll even ask here).

The boy was sick with the flu all weekend, but still managed to come in 3rd for both his races, earning him a spot in next weekend's race in SC. If he wins that race he goes to another one in CA and could possibly win a Pro spot for next season.
Anyway, he wants me at the races next weekend...and I've found a possible way to get there. He's driving down next Wed...way earlier than I could, but I can get a one way flight Fri and drive back with him and as of right now that flight is affordable.

Should I go? 2 things that make me unsure are:
1) I have a pair of tickets to the Penn State game. I already paid over face value for them. Don't want to lose money and pay for a flight. Also would enjoy going to the game
2) To save money boy shares a hotel room with his dad. Looks like I'd be sharing hotel room with boy and his dad. Akward! (have not met the dad, have only been dating the boy for a month and a half).

What do ya'll think I should do? Either way I'll probably enjoy my weekend. Sounds like boy will understand if I can't go...but he has stated he wants me there.
You should at least make an effort to unload the tickets so you don't have to eat them, and if you can use what you get from them to cover for the flight, and ideally, an extra hotel room for the boys dad or yourself perhaps. You can watch Michigan-Penn State on TV.
Yikes! prayers for her, her family and you too!
WHat he said!

I need a RF. I snapped at the idiots that are still going on about last yrs VT UML thing and told them to go make a thread where they could sissy slap each other without the rest of us involved. jcarter7669 thinks I don't own the thread and should go make my own:rolleyes: Some people are such imbeciles!
wanna give us a link so we can go negarepping??? :D :D :D

Thank you to everyone for your concern. She made it to surgery this afternoon and she understands that the risk is high, but is apparently at peace with the situation and has a good team of doctors.

Ah, you have Minnesota roots - there's a reason we like you. :D

(but yeah, that is pretty neat.)

Best of luck to her! :)

There are times when being the oldest is truly awful.

Short story - my sister's boyfriend was driving drunk with her in the car. There was a small accident (she's fine). I'm scared and enraged. :( Trying to calm down enough to talk to her.

I'd be more worried about him right now, if you get my drift.

 Hope she's OK! Oh, and I got you one of the posters that people are whining about in the BU thread.

Somehow I wouldn't bet against Scarlet in that situation. Kinda like getting between her and her Tivo.
