Yes, that officially blows. On the plus side, flights are only $350 round-trip, and you could get up there in time to close out the bars on Friday.
That would be fun, but I really wanted to get up there for Thursday night wings and pitchers. I might have to find another weekend that would work to do that, since I'll have the extra vacation time now.

And as if my company is reading my mind, or my posts, and thought that I might be mad about missing out on my Houghton trip and needed a reminder of Tech, they send the IT guys over here to replace the printers, so now the hallway smells like a typical Tech CS dorm room.
Shower, deodorant, repeat daily, it isn't that hard!!!!

Thanks for reminding me about wings at the DT. Will have to save up some money for that trip, or take the days off if I find a job before then.

And cue Twitch's "how I got kicked out of DHH" story.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 81: Trickle-Down Lodganomics

I enjoy being able to set my own work week hours. It means lots of ten hour days, but the "upside" is that it also allows me to work many four day work weeks. Like today for instance.

Just completed a four hour ten minute round of golf with three strangers...all of whom turned out to be good guys and accomplished golfers.

I didn't hit it well off the tee, but did absolutely everything else spectacularly well [for me]. Played from the blue tees on a course measuring 6,498. Par seventy-one. Par rating: 71.1. Slope:125.

Shot a 39-37=76, five over par. That included two bogey sixes on par fives on the back nine. I had six pars on each side. Only one three-putt green all day and I had eight one-putt greens. I was draining everything in sight. I couldn't find my swing on my tee shots today, but otherwise, played as well as it's possible for me to play. Golf sure is fun when you play with accomplished players and traffic ahead of you on the course is moving at a decent speed. Looking forward to get in another round this coming weekend with good friends.

I hope everyone's week is off to a good start. :)
I know just enough about golf to be impressed by all this crap you typed. Nice job!

I wonder if you-know-who is still working at Wal-Mart because of that.

Closed captioning to bigblue_dl: Not sure how old your Jeep is, but if it's '89 or older it's very possible you have the Peugeot BA-10/5. And unlike Mr. T, BA does not stand for Bad-Arse. ;) Good bolt-in swaps are the AX-15 or the NV 3550 (five-speeds), or the six-speed NSG370 as used behind the 4.0L.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 81: Trickle-Down Lodganomics

Got a new scanner this weekend- on amazing sale but way more bells and whistles than I am used to. I have to decide if I want wireless or USB. I guess the installation is different. I really want to just have someone take care of it all, give me a lesson on how to use it and then go away. Sigh.

Isn't that what Lil les is for?:D

He is presently sitting 20 rows back behind home plate at the Sox game with Mr. They were on the field for BP. I got a text pic message showing the batting cage on the field with some guy (#22) in front of it. He scored something big but won't tell/text me what it is. It is 'the best day of [his] life!' Must be something big. Therefore the scanner is still in the box and scaring me.

I think you answered your own question. :p
