Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

Mrs. Gonzo and I just got back from seeing "The Hangover". :D
Wow. Saw it last night. Wow.
I only have tomorrow morning in Shenzhen and then I fly to Shanghai and go visit another supplier for a few days.

Went out sight-seeing and shopping today. Got a picture with the guy that has been our guide/translator/manufacturing rep. He says he's going to show it to his friends and brag about his American girlfriend.
Nihaou, Trumpet! And good morning, Lodge.

Good to see you are bridging the divide between our two cultures. Will it be an American wedding, or some sort of mysterious Eastern ritual?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

I almost bought that DVD today...but I ran out of RMB. :(

Hi Lodge. I can't decide if I should do work or sleep or watch tv. I have a bunch of files I should go through because I only have tomorrow morning in Shenzhen and then I fly to Shanghai and go visit another supplier for a few days.

Sleep. what is that?

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!
sunday, day of rest.

My bud from nsg school and his family are staying for the week. Today having some of the folks we went to school with over. Should be a good time. I need sleep. They are on Nevada time. Whist til' 2AM is not condusive to coherent thought first thing in AM. (Or to counting trump either for that matter)

Lies. :p

Morning, Lodge. Off to work in an hour.

True. I am making trifle out of Zucchini chocolate cake (YUM!!), TOmatoe/garlic/basil salad, fresh lemonade and a tomato dip as well as cleaning up and setting the buffet up. This all before 2p/ I am not resting either.

Why would you ruin chocolate with Zucchini? or for that matter ruin any cake with vegetables? :(

Don't be too hard on him.... just imagine a society where 10% of males don't have a chance just because there doesn't exist females and not because of social dysfunction.

You can't tell the zucchini is in there- it just makes the cake really moist. I don't tell anyone the zuke is in there and they eat it like crazy.

You don't tell them about the arsenic either, but it doesn't mean it should be in there! :p

Sorry, i've seen one too many movies.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

I'm still willing and interested in hosting a group on Saturday, August 15th. Is anyone else still interested? I know Brent and BPH are out of town that weekend, so it should be a good time here :p ;)

Let me know and we'll do what we need to! :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

Good Morning Lodge!

:D :D :D
Had another good night last night, and going golfing today.

Lugnuts != temperature gauge in the red and thumping noises coming from under the hood.

I can't wait until I get my paygrade increase and I can buy a car that wasn't built by two fat blokes in Kentucky named Bud and Bob.

/Clarkson
If you just take the thermostat out, the car will run fine, its not like its winter and you're going to be freezing out the engine without a thermostat. It only takes about 5 minutes to pull out a thermostat.

The one car that I would want over any other is built in Kentucky. And I saw one in person when I was on my trip, parked on the street when I was walking to lunch. The 4 of us stopped for a couple minutes to check it out!

Good morning... :o

That word, Hammer, was should.

Typing on the touch screen is tricky enough sober. Didn't care to correct mistakes last night. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

Howdy kids, back from Cape Cod. Great day yesterday, weather-wise. I love the Cape. I wish I could have stayed. Would have liked to play mini golf today, but I figured traffic would be bad given that it really wasn't a beach today today and people would be escaping early.

We had breakfast at this place in Harwichport called Bonatt's. They have this pastry called a Melt-A-way that is just awesome. They give you a small plate as a freebie when you sit down to eat, then my mom bought a half dozen of them to bring home. Yum.

Need to unpack from this trip and pack for Chicago.

Ah yes, the ZR1. That's the episode the Bud and Bob quote's from :D

Brutal car, but I'm not that rich an eng-a-neer yet. Plus it'd be hopeless in winter, unlike my proposed Evo IX.

(And for what it's worth, Jeremy Clarkson fell in love with it and said he was buying one - he normally loathes American cars and razzed the C6 and the Z06.)

Twitch beat me to it. :p

I lived in such a society for four years, and it was more like 20%. It could've been worse, but I think the abundance of socially inept WoW dorks did help considerably. ;)
