We're all sleeping in:D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 77: Arcade Games of the Reagan 80s

But did it make the ONNNNN TONNNNNN A GONNNNNNN newspaper? ;)

Congrats! 6 minute K's, I assume that's good?

It's not terrible all things considered, but I'm used to running 25's and 24's, so I was a little down on myself.

'Morning, Lodge! Spending the week playing off-ice counselor for one of the NMU summer camps.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! moanin' monday is here...

We have sun!!! Wahoo! heading to the ocean to bake and freeze in the seabreeze. Already made a batch of cookies to have for snack, looked at my million emails and doing the bills and bank thing next while waiting for L'il to show signs of life.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 77: Arcade Games of the Reagan 80s

When I first started looking at majors/scheduling classes, I saw a way for me to get out in 3 years (with summers, etc.)
I sadly realized that then I would be only 20 when I graduated, and furthermore could not do Senior Walk.

seriously, why would you want to leave college at the age of 20?

Morning Lodge. I'm up for whatever reason.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 77: Arcade Games of the Reagan 80s

Morning, Lodge. Just awake to be awake... hoping to make bagel pizzas for dinner tonight.

Good morning Lodge.

That's certainly the million dollar question.

I'll be entering my junior year at 21. It's times like these I thank my parents for holding me back early because of the August birthdate. Ohhhh the times that will be had this year, I can hear my liver screaming already:o

Good Morning Lodge

Another week of work, ugh.

Meh, Senior Walk gives you a ton of time to drink if you're just stopping at bars. The real pros are the ones who stop at the nontraditional places, like restaurants, the liquor stores on the way (two of them), and the frat houses... you could easily get over 20 drinks in a few hours that way
I think we stopped at a few non-traditional places, including any friends' houses that were along the way. Started off at the Library, so we could get it done before they got ****y. Drove over to the Monte Carlo, hit every bar plus Gemignani's, Shottle Bop, 2 friends' houses. Then we got a ride out to Schmidt's Corner for a drink and on our way back we stopped at Applebee's for drinks and appetizers. We started back at the DT and did the bars in Houghton, but didn't go to any of the frats or Jim's. Definitely a great night.

Was Alaska worth the price of admission? :)

Definitely.

The trip was terrific. Not a drop of rain the entire time. The locals I spoke with from Fairbanks to Ketchikan all said it was the nicest stretch of consecutive days of weather they'd had in nearly four years.

You were right. Visiting Alaska and seeing the vast expanses of mountain ranges, ocean and wilderness is humbling. Visiting the Yukon was my personal highlight.

Lucky sob. :)

Get enough to eat on the ship? ;)

The only day we had sun on our cruise was when we went sea kayaking. The day before the ocean had 10 - 15 foot swells. (Something I was excited to kayak in but not the Mrs.) The day we went the ocean was calm. Calm as in glass. The pics I took with the ocean as glass and the mountains in the background with their reflection on the water was awesome.

Morning Lodge.

I have a funny e-mail about my hotel reservation from the manufacturing rep we work with in China.

"[company] will book [hotel] and I have notified [employee] not to book the one Mandy stayed last time (as they do not have the beer you like..)they will give me confirmation by Monday."

I never took anything for motion sickness the entire trip. While cruising through Glacier Bay we we sitting on our stateroom deck and hoping for even the slightest breeze to cool us down.

On a very sad note, the train taking us from Mt. McKinley to Whittier struck and killed a man who was attempting to get his dog off the tracks. We were delayed for several hours and they had to hold the ship since there were 400 cruise passengers on that train. Since we were in the last train car, our car crew, along with the conductor, were first responders. I give them credit for seeing what they saw, trying to help and then having to entertain us for another four hours. With one or two exceptions, everyone in our rail car was somber and respectful of the terrible event. The exceptions were a couple of people who whined and cried about the delay.

Ewe, check your google mail :)
Done and replied. Slept in NH last night.

Speaking as someone who enrolled in the 7 year Med. School program at BU initially as a Biochemistry/Molecular Biology major (would have graduated "college" at 20 and med school at 23), you're better off not killing yourself to get college done as quickly as possible. You're going to be spending the rest of your life (well, at least a good chunk of it, in the working world, you might as well enjoy college, a time when life is easier. The real world will still be there after 4 years.

Welcome back, Gonzo!

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood today. Sun is shining. It's warm, nice breeze. Not sure how long it will last, and unfortunately I'm inside so I don't know how much I'll be able to enjoy it. But at least I didn't have to lug an umbrella or a jacket today!

Our office is getting redone. Over the weekend they re-did about half of it. All new cubes. I don't like them. First of all, when we went to the company to look at them, they were white. The ones installed are gray. Secondly, there is no under-desktop drawer, nor are there any overhead bins. I have no idea where I will be storing stuff. My area gets moved and re-built this weekend.
