Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 77: Arcade Games of the Reagan 80s

Besides September doesn't really work for me, it's football season, and I'll be spending the majority of my weekends in Ann Arbor, or watching events that are happening in Ann Arbor.
That will get depressing after about 4 weeks.
Oh, and the place I made an offer on rejected it, then promptly took it off the market since the found a lease agreement.
Isn't it fun?
I still haven't had anything happen with the house I put an offer on. Its just sitting there empty, not on the market, with the mortgage company that now owns it doing absolutely nothing. Very frusterating.

Question about your sig: Why is the NCAA always in the hole to be hammerpunched? They keep getting skipped over by other entities and never seem to make it to the top.

Thank you so much, that's so helpful.

It's because it's true.

I think that little link you posted was kinda cool/interesting, but it's not like my pants were getting tight because of it. :p

What a BEYATCH!!! You should have said something Molly, it would have been really easy for me to drive up there and straighten his punk *** out.

Well, the next two meetings are in Lansing, then the two after that are in Grand Rapids.

You should convince them to move them to Calumet. If they complain, tell them that you're willing to compromise with Houghton.

Are you calling me a geek, if so good because I probably am.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 77: Arcade Games of the Reagan 80s

So I just found out one of my good friends(/ex/person crazy enough to go to every CCHA arena with me) had looked at the house I'm buying several times. His wife is in med school now, so they've decided to delay house buying until she has a job. But I'm amused that they were considering that one. I guess I'll have to invite them over.

Mel and monster: I'm thinking I'll get there around 1:30 tomorrow. Not sure where I'll be. I might bring several other friends with me. I plan to have my phone on. And I'll do my best not to get locked away somewhere and unable to contact anyone while everyone leaves me a bunch of voicemails

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 77: Arcade Games of the Reagan 80s

One of our members has been whining for the past three days about everything, showing an attitude to everyone, hanging up on people, crying, throwing tantrums, and leaving the room.
He threatened to resign yesterday, nobody attempted to stop him, but he "came to his senses" and didn't.

Umm, "he"? Can't say I expected that part.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 77: Arcade Games of the Reagan 80s

Why do you actually need stuff in your apartment to throw the house warming party?

If you sign the lease on August 1, you should take the nice big empty space and throw a huge party that same night before you get stuff in their for you friends to mess up. That way they can bring you stuff and you know you don't have to get it when you actually move in the cleaning will be a relative breeze.

Besides September doesn't really work for me, it's football season, and I'll be spending the majority of my weekends in Ann Arbor, or watching events that are happening in Ann Arbor.
True and Aug. 1 is a Saturday. :p

I don't think I'll need too much stuff for the new place (I'll be bringing most of my old stuff) other than a dresser (yay! There will be room for one!) and a few short bookshelves (as opposed to my one tall one). Anything I need, I'm sure I can get off of Craigslist as most people in my neighborhood unload their apartments there during the month of August.

morning Lodge. Gonna drag myself out to go cycling this morning...then

Is that legal? Though I suppose you didn't sign anything, so there isn't a binding agreement.
So I need a little help, is this just awesome, or do I just feel that way because I'm a giant design geek.
That's awesome.

"Crisis" here this morning. Two of the partners never changed the passwords on their new machines and they expired, locking them out of their computers and Blackberries. They were on their way to Court and didn't even need them... That is hardly a crisis...Crisis is missing client, forgetting to file something, etc.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 77: Arcade Games of the Reagan 80s

:) That woulda been awesome. If I only had the spine to do that.

Congrats on the new place! Where is it?

Link. It's on Revere Beach Boulevard a bit up from the Wonderland stop. Just far enough out of the city to be quieter (at night), but a close commute for work (and games, of course!).

Sweet! I actually like Revere Beach - they've done a lot to that area over the years. That's very close to me, btw. Also, I was able to get to that page but when I clicked on the photo album, it would not open. :(

It seems like a very safe neighborhood. I'm just down from the Jewish retirement home and there's a Dunkin' Donuts and some sort of ice cream/yogurt place nearby. I've been assured that the walk to and from the T is safe (by a friend who lives about 2 miles down the shore and grew up in the area). I can't wait to move! :)

Can you walk to Kelly's??

yeah, basically that house was on the market for nearly a year. We make our offer, they reject it then tell us that oh we found someone to lease it, so *k you. Let's see how you like getting an axe thrown at your windows.

And as for my sig, really, I'm just lazy. :p

Is that legal? Though I suppose you didn't sign anything, so there isn't a binding agreement.

yeah, the way it works, or so I've been told, is you make an offer on a place, and the homeowners have a certain amount of time to accept or reject. If they accept, the house comes under "contract" and you hash out the details and whatnot. If they reject, you either change your offer or say *k you. They can accept any offer at any time, I suppose. Either way, it sucks.
