Lowercase "b" is a compliment! (its an inside joke from common man on KFAN, I guess I shouldn't expect many people to get it)

I thought it was "lower case d" but I could be wrong. I got the joke either way, though. :D

I was wondering if it was d or b, I was thinking b, so that is what I went with. The joke works regardless. I think it is hilarious when he is at the state fair, sees a chick, and in the middle of a conversation you'll hear him say "lowercase b/d" so the producer knows when to push the button.

Yes indeed. Heck, my friends and I say that if we're out and about and see a hot chick. "Lower case d, 3 o'clock." :D

Drive-by hello. :)
Hello. :)

Wow. ASaaG goes to Breckenridge for a friggin' week or two and all we get was this lousy drive by?

He's supposed to talk about all the golf he played, and all the buffalo, deer, and other animals he ate at fancy joints, and all the jazz musicians he and his wife met at posh spots along the way.

Then I'm supposed to complain about my not getting to spend any time in the mountains in the past ## months, and then I'd send rep messages to other Lodgers telling them that ASaaG now prefers to receive negative rep.
And he's supposed to let us know what had for dessert, too...

Monster, about your rep: I've eaten sandwiches every day for the past month.

And does anyone need anything done? I've already done three loads of laundry, changed my cats' litter, cleaned the fridge out, made dinner, etc. I'm wide awake; I'm pretty sure I could get a few more things accomplished before I went to bed.

I just went for a run and it was glorious. I could have gone another mile easily.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 77: Arcade Games of the Reagan 80s

Running is one hell of a drug, isn't it?

They call it "runner's high" for a reason. :D

I'm getting used to the thinner air too. I'd love to see what I can do at sea level. Now if my left ankle would just stop bothering me (it's been dodgy ever since high school XC, when I sat with it bent against the floor of the van funny after a run in 30-degree weather.)

You guys must be high on something to just run......

Two things that will help: warming up before a run and a good pair of running shoes.

I generally hit the runners high about 10-12 minutes into my run. :)
I hit mine around 20 minutes in. On longer runs, it takes about an hour... and this Saturday, I'm running 11 miles with my group.

For me, it's about working my frustrations out on the road. Work sucked the day before? Go running! Family bothering me? Go running! Car is a piece of *? Go running! I like running because I'm in total control out there... nothing can bother me when I'm logging the miles...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 77: Arcade Games of the Reagan 80s

I had a pretty good run today, too! I'm really excited for my 5K this weekend, too.

I hear you on the bad ankles. I was guaranteed at least one good sprain per year in high school. I had a close call yesterday, but it felt good today, I lucked out.

Biking, different story. Haven't done crap for biking recently, but I've been known to go ride 30 miles just for shats and giggles. My knee bothers me when I run, though.

And thanks for the heads-up on [lowercase d] :o

Run, Forrest, run. (although I could insert another "Run, blank, run" line from Higher Learning, but that would get me ROPORTED!!1121!! ;) )

And isn't biking "better" for you, since it's easier on the knees and ankles? And also helps stamina in the upper body, due to propping yourself up on the handlebars?

And no prob on the "lower case d." If anyone wants to know why that is associated with good-looking women, we in the know could be coerced to just say/post/email/whatever it. It's SFW. ;)

Just left Duluth a little while ago, Soo tomorrow night, St. Clair Wednesday night, then Monroe, MI Thursday afternoon. Talk to ya from the Soo probably =]
You going to be in the Port of Monroe for a bit Thursday, or are you going to be turning right around as soon as you unload??

Okay, you realize all that by next year's Frozen Four someone is going to have to conjure up a bunny suit for her.
You say that like it would be a bad thing Hammer.

Heh -- Detroit could be interesting.
That goes without saying.

The only thing that bugged me back when I used to run the block here in HS was this one farm dog on Eccles that was very protective of the place. Never really attack me, but I always had to stop and wait for somebody to come out and get him before I could continue on again. It was usually a good run if I could slip on by him before he realized it. Then it was just smooth sailing pass the buffalo.
