It gets bonkers. I've seen some pretty intense *ahem* discussions on the field before. I reffed it one year (maybe two) and never wanted to go back as a ref. Stuck with State and other tournaments and regular games. I remember trading war stories with refs who have done it and it's amazing they keep getting refs to work it sometimes. I did usually bike down the fields and watch as a fan though. It was a lot of fun watching the older teams play. Incredible talent.

I've reffed every level a 7/8 could do including the older premier boys teams. The parents for those teams are as bad as little league ever was**. USA Cup is worse. People are flying in from all over the world and there is a LOT of money on the line. It used to bring in tens of thousands of people every year (probably still does) The expectations from the parents and teams are unreasonable. That being said, you should do it some time. It's worth seeing once.

**Though, I get your point. USA Cup isn't televised nationally. I never quite got to the level those kids are at so I didn't see the insanity behind the scenes.
I imagine it’s gone down a bit like everything else now that DA is a thing. Funny thing is I never hear about any bad stories of parents coming out of DA games, I guess having professional teams running it helps. Also, being a G6 now kinda shields from the crap because, well I don’t take those games.

Region IV regionals always have some instances of insanity, having the two Californias and Colorado will do that, but I was always so a) hot because it was June and b) tired and busy to really care.

Words to live by, Ralph.

Going to do stairs for the first time today. Wish me luck! Getting around a lot easier the past few days. Only really using the knee scooter when I get up from bed in the morning to use the bathroom and to go into the living room, mostly because I need the basket to carry things to and fro. Same with going to bed. I’ve been able to use one crutch and carry things with the other hand but making multiple trips is tiring. I start PT on Monday!

I was severely tempted today for the second time in a month. :)

Have fun with PT. :)

Truth! Every once in a while I go down that rabbit hole. When you see blatant misinformation are you morally or ethically required to post correct information? I try not to have to answer this y practicing ignorance is bliss.

Good Morning Lodge!! (well, really goodnight but for RFAlph and MEUSA good morning)

I delve in there once in a while. If it gets too heated/echo chamber I take a break. I won't shy away, but I don't intentionally try and provoke.

Once in a while? Brent, you’re a top six or seven poster going back like ten threads.

I consider it like poker. It's a session. I may make 3 posts, I may make two dozen posts. That's how I divide it.

It's good to know that no one knows what caused my recent comment here about political threads. I am a calmer than I was then. :)

Yesterday I got a $2 bill in change when I bought something at the farm market which is near where I live every Saturday in the summer. I don't think that I ever got one in change before. I do have the one which my father kept for good luck.

Just finished moving my girlfriend in. The freezer couldn’t hold a single thing more. It’s effectively a solid mass right now.

The stuff... That’s going to be a bigger challenge.

Never thought it would be this hard merging two lives worth of things. Even in a house this big.

It gets easier as she slowly gets rid of your stuff.
