Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 201: A State You Don't Expect

Morning. Yep, I am up before noon. Don't know how y'all do it. Flying to DFW for a day, then back tomorrow...hopefully, I'll make it all the way to Houghton tomorrow night.

Also, why can't I think of who Rube is bringing?

Get yourself here...
Good times.

Good times.

Had a sheriff follow me from Rhinelander WI to the MI border, within 50 feet of the MI border he abruptly turned around. I have a spotless record, I just know he was waiting for me to screw up. $3.75 pints of 7&7s, we commandeered the jukebox, 'twas a good start to the weekend.

Kind of trying to get a better job at the moment. :p

Test went decent. Definitely harder than last year. At least I don't need to wait around until 2 for the face to face. Have that in 45 minutes...

Almost time!

Good Morning Lodge!

You should make it.....unless you’re flying Stranded (Sun) Country. 😀

American, then was hoping to to hop over to a late Sky West flight...but, I get in at the same time it leaves, and it's oversold anyway.

AA couldn't get me on an earlier flight, so I've been wandering DFW since 1130 or so. Walked 5 miles so far.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 201: A State You Don't Expect

Went to the doctor today. They were amazed I listened and followed instructions and literally put no weight on the foot for five weeks. Put weight on it for the first time and OMG that hurt. Holy cow are my foot and ankle pretty much unusable. At least for now. He said work from home all week next week, then the week after go in Monday/Wednesday/Friday in the office, Tuesday/Thursday at home. Then I can go back full time the week after. I’m hoping that means if I keep working it daily it should get easier to work.

I’ve been struggling this afternoon. I’ve tried to stand up using both feet, just to get used to it. He wants me to start walking a few steps in the boot. I tried it at the office and almost fell. I just tried it using one of the crutches. That was easier. I’ve been stretching the foot every hour. I’m going to take a few more steps in a few hours. He said “oh, you can ditch the scooter” but I can hardly walk so how can I get around?

I called my PT place in Boston for my intake and scheduled it for Wednesday.I could’ve gone Monday but I do have start work Monday. My doctor said he was going to call my disability case manager (handed him the sheet with her name, extension and my claim number). I hope he did. I’m going to call her tomorrow, then call HR to let them know what he said. Hopefully my case manager would have already called HR. Then I’ll reach out to my boss.

Good afternoon Lodge.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 201: A State You Don't Expect

So, today is my last day with nothing to do. I officially start back at work on Monday. I will still be here at my mom’s, working from here. I really can’t walk yet. I haven’t started PT, going for my intake session on Wednesday. I’m hoping that making myself get up to walk a few steps every hour or so will help. It’s really painful. Which I get, but still.
