Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 200 - End of Season

Good morning Lodge. On the T heading into the office for the first time in a while. It’s a cold, raw, rainy Monday. Still have a few phone calls to make this morning, close the loop kind of stuff. Then it’s back to work.

Good Afternoon Lodge!

Back on the grid. The hotel had open wi-fi--- as in no password. All the nopes.

?
I got some app that works for phone thru Verizon- I was desperate- I had to do some stuff for work.

You can get a vpn from lots of companies. Like NordVpn (based out of panama, so they arent required to give your data to the US govt). They have an app so you can connect your phone over public wifi safely.

Also would work on home pc, tablet, etc.

Huh. I never knew that people could get them, only thought companies could (until about 4 days ago).

I have a very slow connection at home- and frequently wifi at places I go is slow- does it slow things down (like trying to fit a bug bunch of stuff thru a little straw or is it more like a screen door that just stops stuff but lets things flow? (total un-geek here)

It would be slightly slower, but i dont think you'd notice the difference in most cases.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 200 - End of Season

Long story short, I have an abscess on my left leg and ended up having a bad reaction to one of the antibiotics that I was prescribed. Feeling a little better, but still haven't been able to hold anything down since Thursday night. Thought I was getting better on Saturday (hence, why I went to work), but ended up getting a rash.all over.

Been a rough couple days.

No fun at all! Hope things are clearing up!
