Jeeze, DL, sorry about that. I just heard yesterday about a former co-worker who also has Stage 3 cancer. :( *C

5897 book hits for cake show on their on-line site. No idea how many are in store. :p

Its Edina, people who live in Edina eat cake but they would never be caught making one!

Given the size of the store, the cooking section is smaller than typical while the business and history sections are bigger.

One of the kids Jr played soccer with a couple years ago scored a perfect score on his ACT. One of 6 Edina kids to do so this year. I'd wager he's read a few books, as have his parents. Probably more books than all of podunk Alex combined.

Good Morning, Lodge!

Home sick again. Hopefully, my meds kick so I can at least do a half day. I found out yesterday that work was a complete disaster. I am 2nd in command in the customer service department and out sick yesterday too. My manager (1st in command) had to leave because her daughter was sick. I told them the things that need to be on the look out for. They obviously don't know where I keep things where everything is clearly labeled. To make things even funnier, the remainder that was there to answer phones are complete cluster****s.

F U cancer is right. One of our members came out and visited yesterday.. 62 years old and he looks in tough shape.. I choked up a tad when he told me he missed seeing me all the time.

So this afternoon DHeadBoss came out to offsite to take over (b/c his hours don't officially count for our outbound hours on the stat sheet; don't ask me, I don't know why). I was basically picking the stuff the moment came in, never having more than 3-4 picks at a time. I head to the main building, and within 30 minutes he had 30 picks amassed, and was done well after the main building was done. :D

Kinda made my day.

Glorious evening. Sat out on the deck with my little birdbath water fountain running, watched the wind in the trees, had a hummingbird whizz around the planters right next to me and the goldfinches come drink at the birdbath. A bit later the most amazing sunset out the living room window with the trees silhouetted. Brilliant last evening before returning to the salt mines.

Gorgeous night here, too. After dinner, sat down with a book I got today, planning on reading the whole thing (it's only about 170 pages) while watching the Cup through my patio door. Unfortunately, at dusk, the mosquitoes decided to come out, and ended that. Only made it halfway through my book.
