That is kind of hard when my husband has a completely opposite sleep schedule. I am walking out the door to go to work when he goes to bed.
Combined with "Sleep walking", your entire neighborhood comes into play. :D

It is written.

So it shall be done.

Had to check into work extra early today (as opposed to early, SOP when my co-worker is off) for a safety inspection at the main building. Had a chance to talk with my immediate boss about the last few days. Frankly, I think if he had his way, I'd be the #1 offsite guy. He's been talking me up to the 2 bosses ahead of him, when they've been asking how it's going with the other guy gone.

Personal note: this kind of reinforces my theory that DHead Boss (my immediate boss' boss) played favorites when putting someone in the position, and not going by skill, considering I've outperformed my co-worker enough to get noticed. Not a big deal, it's not like it's an increase in pay or anything, it's more recognition and flow of the work day.

Well Played.

I have a meeting from 7-9 this morning. I can't miss it, but at the same time there is a 95% chance I won't say a single thing during it. Yes, I'm technically a team member for this project, but my function has no deliverables for this project....
Maybe they just want your mug there to give them all another mug to look at while they're trying to not to fall asleep during the meeting.

So, that gives you easily a good 15 minutes for a little wam-bam-thank-you-ma'am. Clearly that leads to him thanking you more than you thanking him, but I digress...

Thought we had the last wagon in the barn today. Got one wagon tossed upstairs to fill up that space, then was going to put the last one up along the back aisle. Got into it and oh was it starting to stink. Got about twenty bales off of it, and realized that about 2 thirds of them were wet. Called our supplier and let him know he's got a bunch of hay he needs to toss out to his cows pretty soon and that we'll need another wagon.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #2*2*7*6: It's Summer, why is there MATHS?!

Went to the Red Sox game tonight. The Sox played two today - an afternoon make up game and then tonight's regular game. I had asked GLM if he wanted to join me as he is in town for the Cup final. He emailed me yesterday to tell me he couldn't make it. Boo. But I got a call from my dad yesterday telling me a family friend - Pam - was back in Boston visiting from California and was going to the game. I then got a call from her cousin Irene, who is a closer family friend to me to tell me she saw I was in touch with her cousin and would probably see her at the game and she wanted to tell me personally that she is pregnant. Yay! So I asked her if she wanted to go to the game with me. She said she could, which was great. Hadn't seen her in forever.

So, today I'm keeping close watch on the weather because I have Red Sox tickets and that just means, you know, rain. Checking Facebook and see that Pam and her husband are at Fenway. For the afternoon game. And then at 3pm, the skies opened and the game gets delayed and Pam and husband head home so I didn't get a chance to see her. Head over to Fenway to meet Irene, the rain stopped and they resumed the first game at 5:55. We got something to eat, met up with another family friend, then headed to the ballpark. My game started at 8:00. And was going reeeeeeally fast. Red Sox head into the 9th with a 1-0 lead, pitcher only threw 88 pitches or so. Start of the 9th, let's bring in the relief pitcher. WHY??? Pitcher is pitching one of his best games, really fast, let him start the 9th, bring the reliever in if the first guy gets on. Oh noooo. That can't happen. Relief pitcher comes in, 2nd pitch - see ya! Homerun, tie game. *sigh*

Bottom of the 9th and I'm thinking - I cannot stay extra innings. After Nava does nothing, Jonny Gomes comes up to bat. He had done nothing all game. Which I actually yelled at him from my seat. First thing I yelled all game. And two pitches later, he deposits the ball in the Green Monster seats. Ha!! #OppositeGirl In Action. Never been to a game with walk off homerun. It was a lot of fun!

I'm in such a good mood I'm actually watching basketball.

Found out today that I got the position at the Edina Barnes & Noble that I applied for. I wasn't really expecting to get it, and while it isn't ideal (still much rather have almost anything engineering related) it is a full time position with actual responsibilities, so I'm very excited.
