Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 199 - Dumb Poll of the Month

No apologies. In fact, this is very helpful. I don’t want to do anything until I talk to his PCP. He didn’t call me back today. I know it’s the holiday weekend but I hope he calls. And my SIL told me about the family meeting. There is a NP there that we have yet to meet. She’s spoken with my dad but he can’t really grasp what she’s saying. My mom and I are going to get there early too meet her.

He had a better day today. I hope it continues tomorrow. And once I talk to his PCP, I’ll take you up on your offer to DM you.
Glad to help! Unless the PCP has privileges at the Rehab he won't have any more up to date info than you do. He does, however, know your Dad and can make an educated guess about some things! Some Docs will come out to the Rehabs to do consults but most of them make the patient come to them. If that is the case then they can either arrange transport or someone drives them.

If you are swondering about plans and want to start to work things out you can ask to speak to the social worker even before they have the meeting. They might be able to help you formulate questions, help you do anything to prepare for meeting.

Good Evening Lodge!

Evening, Lodge. Went traipsing around the 'burbs today, quite enjoyable. It was needed; wandering is a stress-reliever for me, for sure.

I received $25.5M from Mrs. Rene Luo-Yong. The total is now $1,105,830,248.19.

I received 10M £. Using 1.27 $/£, that is $12.7M. The total is now $1,118,530,248.19.

Snarl! They locked the bathrooms around Hains Point due to the Federal shutdown.

Evening, Lodge. Met up with bbdl to check out a new(er) brewery we hadn't been to, and make a beer trade. It was rather good. They have been open about a year, and a couple of their offerings were amazingly good. A barrel-aged stout and a wine-barrel aged saison, were the standouts, IMO. Ended up buying a couple crowlers (32oz cans) to take home; which was also a nice bonus. They do them on demand, as well as pre-fill (the latter is more common).

Settling in for the night for what should be a good NFL game.

Just here to wish the Lodge a nice Christmas Eve. It looks like someone left the eggnog out too long ...

There's a new brewpub in St. Paul, Clutch Brewing Company, located on the second floor of this newer hipster mall on the old Schmidt's Brewery site. I wasn't drinking that night (driving), but everybody who had a beer or two really liked it all. Their logo is a four-speed gear shift knob with each gear representing an ingredient; reverse is a pint glass.

The one we went to was Dual Citizen, near University/94 in St Paul. I've heard good things about Clutch.

Morning, Lodge. Gearing up for the Christmas Story marathon tonight. Tradition. What's funny is I own the DVD (it was a gift) but never have played it, yet have seen the movie hundreds (no exaggeration) of times. :)

Good Evening, Lodge!

Made a surprise visit to Milwaukee. Had a great time. Now back at home as we are driving up to St. Cloud tomorrow. Getting prepped for the annual 24 hour of "A Christmas Story" live tweet with The Rube. It's a tradition.

Great success. A couple of randoms were "***?" Particularly, the woman who now cannot unsee the bottom of the buttocks on the leg lamp. :D
