Set back at work today. Didn't get the position I applied for. I know I'd be better at it than who was selected, but I'll admit that I didn't manage to get that across in the interview. The person chosen will still be good at it. Always stings more than you anticipate. Ah well, there's still a little room to grow in my current spot, and other opportunities will come up.

*HT. Leaving with 8 minutes left. Shut out (at least for now) in two straight games. And the Red Sox are losing. Going home to watch my Thursday night shows. Sucky way to end my birthday week.

Thrilled hockey table. 5/8 on the PP? Creaming the Sconnies in their own barn? I'll take that any night, and hopefully twice on Saturday. ;)

Afternoon, Lodge. Got my lamb fix with lunch today, met up with a couple friends. Unbeknownst to me, some other people I know were meeting there before starting a bachelor party trip, and lots of beer trades going on within that group, and a crowler or two were shared; they were kind enough to give me a sample also, since I knew them (CA beer you cannot get here). That was a nice bonus for lunch. One of my buddies was wondering WTeff? I said, this ALWAYS happens here. If there ISN'T a bottle/can/etc shared from a customer, it's a rarity.

UMLmen win the XC COnference title by 1 point. At least some joy this weekend. Not sure I am going to see it from the stick and puck guys
