mookie is eating a ham he baked the other day.

mookie has been up before everyone making bacon for breakfast for kiddies before school every day since wednesday last.

Dreamt I was flying on a plane to Las Vegas. Plane takes off, then lands 5 minutes later saying he took off in the wrong direction. Plane takes off again and does a loop-the-loop (in a 757!) Getting ready to land, I pull out my boarding pass to check my gate, and realize it's printed for Santiago, Chile. How this happened and I was able to get on the flight I don't know. I don't even have a passport, and dream me is cognizant of this. I ask a flight attendant, turns out the flight number was one digit off, and the plane is indeed landing in Las Vegas. I land in Vegas, but wake up before reaching baggage claim.

Conscious me then realizes if my boarding pass was printed for Santiago, guess where my bags were going.

I'll just be living the rest of my life in a bubble, thanks.

ETA: Also, Dreamland McCarran inexplicably has billiards tables in the concourse.

Bonus Friday tonight. Have tomorrow off. Needed to burn a day to get under carryover.

No snownami today in my area. Got a dusting. Tomorrow is round two, haven't looked at the reports yet.

Back at work. Fun month off. Hopefully a quick month at my waterfront office, then a great month off planned. A couple cruises, NHL all star weekend in Tampa (combined with Gasparilla, basically a huge pirate festival weekend).

Wait...for your time off the boat, you plan to go on a couple of other boats?


Counting down 3 more hours of work for 2017. Leaving early today for women's b-ball. I fly to TX tomorrow for a few days with at my parents. Only get a day with my brother and his family (they're going to his inlaws for xmas) Can't wait.

I was in Tampa when Gasparilla was going on several years ago. My buddy that I was visiting had a boat so we joined the hundreds of other boats that escorted the pirate ship to the bay. It was way big fun.

Afternoon, Lodge. Had tentative plans for lunch with a buddy, but he forgot about a previous engagement. Figuring out what to do with my time, and saw a tweet for a somewhat local brewery (about 30 miles west of me, which is pretty much hickville area; Waconia for the locals) who is releasing a special beer (only 40 bottles). So decided to head out there, because why not?

And still no snow. Zilch. Everything headed south, I guess.

Hey Minnesota peeps. What hotels are within easy walking distance of Xcel? I have a hotel booked for the FF but it will mean driving and I would like to avoid that if I can. I know they are already booked but I'm hoping that someone whose team doesn't make it will cancel.

Have fun with that. The Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn are basically refusing reservations (I called in July) and the new one on 7th, don't recall the name) is charging around $350/night, so no thank you.
