Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #192: What DO you do, with a BA in English?

Evening, Lodge! I had quite a day. Last minute decision to drive 90 minutes to a brewery to pick some special releases. Ended up saying hello to a gentleman who was going to do a "mule-run" (pick up beers for others) 4.5 hours north of where we were after that. Then had lunch at a local spot that caters to our beer group, met some more folks there, had a good time, THEN went to my local brewery to drop off a beer I bought in the morning, and finally ended up at another local beer-group-friendly place to pick up the beer that the initial gentleman in question was muling for me.

Hope you all followed that. It's quite a web of...whatever. :)

Sunday is a day of rest. Thankfully.

Good Morning, Lodge!

Welcome to the time of year the arguments between the hubby and I kick into high gear. What to watch Packers football vs anything baseball. Unless it is the Cubs, then I flip back and forth.

s'upp y'all

he's in his room. when irma went onto land in naples it moved north just enough to keep the eye over land and east of tampa, rather than west. that will keep any surge down from what could have been seen as max height.
all the tv peeps are in that area and lights at the plant bldg are still visible, so they have power. mookie told him to make sure he is on low power mode and that the issue will be potential no power or water for days, but who knows.

Ya, he should be in pretty good shape now. I still believe MacDill AFB has some Hurricane Avoidance Bubble that is top secret, I swear everything steers around Tampa.

John Buccigross rode it out at his place in Naples, he was posting on Twitter through the day leading up to landfall.

Most of my area still has power, doesn't sound like it was too bad. I'll know for sure later today towards lunch when my neighbor updates me, but feeling pretty fortunate right now. Things weren't looking great at this time last night.

Procrastinating and tired. Sleep schedule has been screwy lately leading to crappy moods, lack of productivity, and disinterest in socializing. 3 more in a row starting tomorroe and then I have 6 days of resetting my sleep cycle and hopefully getting out of this funk.

Mookie, I can't believe Tyler is in college. I was at the grocery store today and 2 kids were talking about today's date and they couldn't even remember the actual event. I'm getting old. :o

Ugh. That is no fun. I always found that I would pick something I was looking forward to and live to that.
