Finally get to leave this hot humid hellhole tomorrow. Back to temperatures suitable for human habitation. Finally.

Orlando is always a hellhole. Tampa is almost a godsend in comparison. FFS, Savannah has worse weather, but a better town and much better food. ;)

Generally speaking though, Florida is an abortion.

Ya, Orlando never even entered my mind when I considered my initial places to move. Way too touristy.

Tampa is pretty nice. Summers can get to be a bear with the humidity, but I manage.

Hit Disney World in the dead of July with a friend many years ago. Never again.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #189: The Winter of our Discontent.

I did Disney World in July a few years back. Took my nieces. It wasn't that bad. I think it was a little cheaper at that time.

Pushing 60 here in 617-ville. The forecast for Friday has changed three times in three days. Ugh. Now it's back to snow on Friday. I hope it's nothing major!!

The cherry blossoms are starting in DC and are supposed to peak at the middle of them month. That's very early.

Prior to today, there was green on the lawns around here. Here is Minnesota. A lot of things are early this year, and any climate change talk has been exacerbated around here by lack of snow, which adds to the natural cooling process, keeping us in the 20s for *warm* daily highs during a normal year's January and February.

Supposed to hit 65 here today. So because of that, I got an ice cream! It's Make Your Own Sundae Wednesday today. They finally had chocolate ice cream. Didn't need it. Probably shouldn't have gotten it, but it was yummy!!

I have trees leafing out that usually do that a month from now, some of my daffodils are almost blooming. Also a month early. It is currently 65F. Hasn't been cold during the day in a week. This weekend will feel like the Arctic.

I'm still expecting another snow storm this month.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #189: The Winter of our Discontent.

Today the leaves on my maple started to unfurl and the maple is blooming. I have actual leaves on my viburnum and the columbine is leafing out. All not supposed to be happening
