I did have a hawk attack one of my chickens last week. Couldn't have gotten one of the older girls, one of the Buff Orpingtons I got this spring. She got away from him, but did end up losing a bunch of feathers and a good hunk of skin from her rump. Got her isolated in the garage for how and been treating the wound. Still seems to be acting pretty normal, eating, drinking and such. Plan is to just keep treating her and see what happens.

Good Morning Lodge.

Jr got offered a pretty big promotion last night. He's been just a runner at the car dealer for 3+ months. He got offered a full time gig for a big raise at the parts desk. They've noted his work effort, how much the mechanics like him, and how well he communicates. Problem with this is, it'll be hard to work full time and go to school full time.

I told him to try and negotiate some flex to the hours so he can still go to school.

ETA: they're flooding the outdoor rinks in Edina!

Afternoon Lodge. Plan change due to a local restaurant's tap offerings. Am in beer heaven right now. 3-5 whales on tap.

Weather.gov shows an inch on Saturday night. 3 more on Sunday, and 3 more on Sunday night. I'm glad I got the snowblower out yesterday.

Last day of vacation, before the weekend, and before I head back to the office on Monday. I really don't want to go back. Hopefully one of these places I applied to calls me before too long.

Do you have your CPA? I'm surprised you haven't been able to make a change. CPAs around here are certainly in demand.

Howdy. Not your average Friday night in the North Country, with Clarkson visiting SLU. Wish I could be there, but hopefully tuning in from Louisiana.

Hoping the antibiotics I got for my respiratory infection can kick this thing soon. Tonight will be the 4th day of them, still have a decent cough, though the congestion seems to have eased a bit.

Strike the above. The level elevated. Got a call about another certain beer, one that isn't even made every year. Hauled arse to the store, they had some left. And a couple of other beauties. Then on the way to my next stop, took a chance at another store, and found even more beauties (aged ones from 2-4 years ago). Boom.

Final stop (LTD in Hopkins for the locals), talked with the head brewers/owners, got some good info about upcoming beers.

HHT. My body clock is WAYYYYYY off due to early start, day off, etc. Dunno what to do with rest of my night.
 
HHT and HVBT as the Gopher lady V-ball team gets to the elite 8 tomorrow night. Hoping the Wild can complete the sweep (Gopher women hockey best BU too).

Our women's sports are rocking it as of late (minus last Sunday's hiccup vs WI)
