Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #188: Hockey Is The Real Politics

*HT again.

But the UAA Women's Volleyball team won the NCAA Regional.

Dunno much about that sport, but I guess the MN Women's VB is crushing, so bring it on! :)
We went to the matches yesterday and today. My daughter likes it and, since she went to their camp a few weeks ago, goes and sits with the cheerleaders.

But yeah, there's some confusing stuff.

I get volleyball, I just don't follow it. You could tell me Arkansas is a power team, and I'd believe you. :o

Good morning Lodge. Some cooking on tap today, have a massage scheduled for 2pm, then dinner with some friends tonight. Hope you all have a pleasant day!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #188: Hockey Is The Real Politics

Morning, Lodge. Snowed last night. Looks like the heavy stuff. Churchin' today, and thankfully the Packers are on tv, so yet again I don't have to deal with their fans at church. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #188: Hockey Is The Real Politics

Sigh. Dealt with LWB-light today (Packer fan). She was loud, but not really obnoxious. At least she knew football strategery, so that lessened the pain. *HT for the Gophers women. Actually got the game on a tv at church, but after MN went down 4-1 I was sickened by the performance and left. Ended up losing 8-3. Horrid. At least it was to the #1 team in the country (who we beat last night).

Good Morning Lodge.

Put up a bird feeder Saturday evening and watched the chickadees go nuts with it yesterday. Will have to refill it tonight at the rate they were eating it. Put another one in front yard last night, didn't see any action there yet, but I left before sunup.

Finally got a tarp over the boat yesterday, hope it holds up.

Good Morning Lodge!

My bird feeder usually lasts a day if I fill it regularly. I decided to cycle on and off just like seeds come into season every little bit. Can't afford to keep up filling every day!

You might want to add a suet cake to that bird feeder of yours, goldy.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #188: Hockey Is The Real Politics

Hi Lodge. Happy Monday. Had a great night last night catching up with friends. Remember that wake of the 28-yearl that I went to last weekend? His aunt is one of my friends that I went out with last night. She'd been dealing with that and her sister and brother-in-law and two sickly parents all week so I think she needed a nice, low key night out. We get to the restaurant, sit down, and about a minute later, this guy comes to our table with an appetizer plate of chicken wings. It was kind of random. He said he was a veteran, so we were al "thank you for your service!". As he was walking back to the bar, my friend says "And what's you name?" "Jimmy." he say. Which is also the name of her nephew that passed. She felt it was a sign. We all kind of had the chills when that happened.

Wet snow here this morning, barely sticking. Yet driving panic ensued. Though to be fair, I think it was a little worse outside the city.
