I prefer Dunkin Donuts. Tim Horton's is terribly overrated.

Of course, any local bakery/donut joint beats the crap out of both of them.

What the hell did I just say?

I was asking what the one other than Dinky Town was (because you'd mentioned it), if that other location was in the MOA or somewhere else.

GE is getting old and lacks reading comprehension skills. (Bad future manager! Bad!)

(Typical future manager! Typical!) :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #188: Hockey Is The Real Politics

So yesterday, when I was in Lake Placid with my boss, we had a chat about Christmas gifts, who should whom gifts, etc. She's been getting push back from her two peers about gifting up to their boss. Can't remember how we got on the subject but she did mention it could be nice for our team to give her boss a little gift from us, we moved onto her team this year, and in my opinion, it may make my boss look good. She did tell me one of our team members was not thrilled with the idea, but she's out on maternity leave. She recommended I get something while we were there. I bought a candle in a gift shop there and lugged it home, emailed my team this morning about it. Two of them get back to me saying that they had this discussion with our boss and it was determined that it wouldn't be a good idea. Great. I forward my boss their comments telling her I guess there was a discussion that I wasn't a part of. She's like "Yes, I told you we had discussed this without you." No, no you didn't. Now you made me look like an idiot to my teammates AND I paid for something that I didn't need. I suppose I can find someone to give this item to, but still....

How did you and your boss end up getting to LP?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #188: Hockey Is The Real Politics

We took that 30-seater prop jet I mentioned and it was totally fine. It wasn't raining at all on Tuesday, took off on time and had no issues landing. No rain there so the drive from Plattsburgh was no problem. Yesterday it was very foggy in Lake Placid in the morning and I was a little worried that it would affect our flight home. The fog burned off and it turned out to be a nice morning. We left there about 2pm to drive back to Plattsburgh and it started raining of and on during the drive. Got to the airport, got a notification on my phone that are flight was delayed for 30 minutes but the airport had no such notification. Then another notification saying it was back on schedule. We were boarding and the flight crew was like "We have 13 minutes to board and be airborne." Not sure what would've happened if it took longer or if the ground hold would've been due to issues in Plattsburgh or Boston. It was pouring here when we landed.

Good Evening, Lodge!

Speaking of giving gifts to the boss, we are considering getting our boss a dildo or a case of Captain Morgan. She puts us in a dammed if you do, dammed if you don't situation.

You have a weird workplace.

I think a dildo is a perfect gift...if everyone who chips in plans to leave it on her desk with their letters of resignation, effective immediately. :D

Yes. Yes I do.

The theory behind the gift is that my boss would be happier if she got laid. Doesn't matter how. Just needs to. Then maybe, just maybe, she would be happier and easier to work with.

Good Morning, Lodge!

The *ht was lonely on a Thursday night. Mr. wT and I were there after the second period when Michigan was down 4-0, so we decided to leave and not even watch the third.

Happy Friday Lodge.
