Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #187: Lazy End Days Of Summer

Day started off good, had playtime with RV2. Then it got worse. Laptop took a crap. Blue screen of death. Luckily a buddy from GPL does tech for a living and he is taking a look at it tonight. Got an update and it sounds like a corrupt file or two, easy fix, relatively. Whew, so far. Will find out tomorrow at church.

Have to rely on my Kindle until then. Not horrible, but it is like going jogging with one leg. Cannot do as much as I am used to.

Things along the lines of very fast, talented, plays the right way... An example of where we'd like ourselves to get to. I didn't watch or listen due to work schedule, but sounded like we didn't give our best effort. Good luck the rest of the way!
:( *HT Clarkson may still suck but they got around us.

More adventures in Minnyland...

National Sports Center in Blaine is incredible. 8 rinks, numerous (30+) soccer/lacrosse fields, bicycle facilities. Inside the rinks is a veritable tribute to Minnesota and USA Hockey. As always - they do that stuff right up here.

Went 2-1 in pool play and should have gone 3-0. Bracket play tomorrow.

Went to Minnehaha Park and saw the falls and the gorge. Never been there. Very cool for right in the city.

Walked around downtown a bit and got extremely nostalgic when I was outside of First Ave. Haven't been to a show there since 93 - and it's a dump - but I really wanted to go in there again tonight.

Dinner at Ike's. Had a jerk burger with pineapple, lettuce, tomato, bbq sauce and bacon. To die for... so good.

Our route out of town took us right by the new "dome." Looked pretty impressive, but Viking fans are still pansies in my book for needing/wanting an indoor facility. Don't even want to hear the justifications/excuses... la la la... I'm not listening.

Fun goings on 1:

Tonight at the Target Center: I LOVE THE 90'S
FEATURING VANILLA ICE, SALT-N-PEPA, COOLIO, KID 'N PLAY, ROB BASE & YOUNG MC

Ouch. Scalper asked me if I needed tickets. I laughed at him.

Fun(?) goings on 2:

People smoke the chronic pretty openly downtown. Smelled it numerous times (pretty much everywhere) on several blocks.

HHT! So glad I made the trip up to St. Cloud today. That was a fun game! Two come-from-behind wins on the weekend. Tough to not like that.

Gurt: the real fans wanted outdoor football. :(

FHT.

Go Cubs. Unreal!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #187: Lazy End Days Of Summer

Not a bb fan but climbing on the bandwagon...Go Cubbies!!

Good Morning Lodge!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #187: Lazy End Days Of Summer

Good Morning, Lodge!

I am still in disbelief that the Cubbies are in the World Series. I thought I would never see the day.

Ugh. The Death Weekend for electronics seems to continue. Now my Kindle charger seems to not want to connect and my Kindle will not charge. Hope that is all it is.

While learning that the latest anti-spammer measures USCHO put in place have failed isn't such a good thing, knowing that it was done by a spammer who doesn't actually know how to complete a post in the thread s/he created is actually somewhat satisfying.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #187: Lazy End Days Of Summer

The problem is, I haven't figured out a way to report them, nor reply to get something the rest of us can report.

I think we have to wait for an admin or priceless to see the posts and they'll take care of it then.
