Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #185: Summer Activities

I did not sleep well last night and find myself very cranky this morning. No, even more than usual.:p I don't think I'm going to have much patience for some vendors today... Or for architects, just hope I don't lose my temper with a client.

My uncle used to tell me- Well, no matter how stupid they are it pays the mortgage

No one got fired today! (that I know of).

Gorgeous day out, and beautiful night. Unfortunately, it's supposed to be rainy on Sat, which hampers the big block party that I plan on going to with a buddy or two. Hopefully the rain stays away, at least mid-afternoon.

Got home less than an hour ago. Our overnight cycle froze last night, so it didn't get started until almost 8 this morning. It takes about 9 hours to run. While the cycle is going, the systems are unavailable to key new tasks. Couldn't get in until 6:00pm. Then had to key and review all of today's tasks before the cycle started again at 9. Cripes.

9 hours of doing very little, followed by three hours to do 9 hours worth of work.

Good night Lodge. Just boarded my red eye flight home. Hoping to doze off shortly.

Good morning Lodge.

Went to NPR blues and bbq thing last night for donors. NaSK and I were 2 of the 5 people under the age of 50. The band was ok, the food was ok, and the weather was gorgeous. A nice night for hanging out outside.

Stayed up hoping to watch the college softball world series, but weather has it postponed. I think college softball might edge out football to earn 2nd place on my favorite sports list.

Good Morning Lodge.

Jr gets a diploma tonight then goes to an all-night party that he is convinced will be boring. We'll see. Mrs and I are bus chaperones to help get the kids to the undisclosed location of the party (huge secret). Then we have to pick him up at the school at 4:30 AM tomorrow. That's early even for me on a Saturday.

I guess this means they are letting him walk after all those sleep over shennanigans?

lil's thing they told us he would be home at 4:30. Turned out to be 3:45. We were exhausted. Had his party that day because so many people traveled in from out of town. 5hit show. (Now I think of it we left the morning after that for Disney- we must have been out of our minds)

My niece graduates tonight and then she has her all night grad thing. Ceremony is supposed to be outside so we can all come. It's why I took the red eye home (we just landed). Now I hear it may rain. If so, they have the ceremony in the gym and each student only gets three tickets. Boo. Probably won't see her till Sunday.
