Had the score right, but wrong winner.

Heckuva time at church. The railbirds (people sitting AT the bar) were huge Wild fans, and ended up buying me a beer b/c why not. Great time watching and discussing hockey (which was on EVERY tv in the place, it was glorious). Quoth the bartender: basketball? What's that? ;)

Yeah, that blew. Thanks.

I liked the 3rd period, that part was fun. I scalped a pair of tickets ($40 each), first row behind the FSU bench, I was against the rail for the players tunnel. I heard your coach talking with the boys, and how your forwards didn't think much of Widman - #5 for SCSU. They decided on the bench to target him that very shift. Well, they beat him on a play that shift and scored their first goal. Williams, your #3 goalie, his equipment smells extremely bad.

After the first period, my brother and I moved to one of the open seats at the end zone, one of the top rows opposite from the Zamboni entrance. It turns out that's where the injured FSU players were watching the game, and spent a lot of time listening to them scheme and talk player weaknesses and such. The whole game was an interesting experience. Now if only the outcome had been different.

Also, either I made it onto TV or just the in-house scoreboard for the arena, the latter's more probable. I was leaned forward, concentrating on the game, and my brother was slouched back in his Gopher jersey, doing something on his phone. Eric Vegoe, there writing for USCHO it turns out, took a picture and sent me an email of it. I never noticed.

BTW, for those in the arena, USCHO, or maybe all the college hockey sites' writers present, were up in one of the two suites that were actually occupied.

Vegoe is good people. I've met him a couple times via GPL things.

Veegs is top notch. He knows hockey, more than what you read of his online; when playing Super Rink league he did a lot of good coaching without being heavy handed, which is important when giving instruction to grown men. He's a lot like you on the beer snob thing. Really, it's the only knock against him. :D

IALTO. :D

I just learned the UND score. Oh well. At least BC is still alive. Just sayin'. ;)

Edit: I should clarify for BU fans: not that I like BC, I just like certain parts of their history. ;)

HHT in OT (again!) NO Easter Dinner for the les family.

MEUSA- sitting in the YLAe section should be lonely. Now if those seats have the same outcome......

RedROCKET it is not possible you have a 6 yr old already!

Nighty night nocturnal ones!

Gonna join Easter here, previously wasn't due to hockey. BUT...DU/FSU? And no tailgating? Pffft. And it's not at my bro's inlaws, so bonus.

What's the opposite of the HHT, again? Oh well, at least there's more hockey to watch yet.

Happy Easter, Lodge!
