Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #183: The Final Approach To Off-Season

Good evening Lodge.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #183: The Final Approach To Off-Season

I have much TV on my DVR but am watching Scandal live. And I keep trying to fast forward through live TV.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #183: The Final Approach To Off-Season

I couldn't even fit into a Miata.
:) You should see my husband try and fit in my Mini... :D When he's sitting - he doesn't have to extend his arm out entirely to touch the other side of the car. Needless to say, we don't take it on long trips, but he doesn't mind driving it in sport mode on back roads.

My aunt was kind enough to take a look at my taxes despite it getting close to the 15th of April. I will have to send her something nice as a thank you.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #183: The Final Approach To Off-Season

Morning, Mark
(and Ralph, when you check in).
:) Floated to another unit again. Fortunately, the nurses are super nice and I got (reasonably) good patients-- though the old lady tried to clock me in the head when I was brushing her teeth.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #183: The Final Approach To Off-Season

Morning. Headed north above Mobile. Probably won't have signal to watch, let alone follow, the SLU game tonight. That's disappointing.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #183: The Final Approach To Off-Season

Morning everybody!
Beautiful day in Turkey, 70 and sunny. Most importantly, the Michigan game is on at a decent hour over here (11 PM start), so if I can figure out my Uverse password I'll be able to stream it.
Quite cool.

Where in Turkey? I have a daughter who has lived in Istanbul for a couple of years.

Incirlik AB, near Adana. I'd love to see Istanbul/Constantinople/Byzantium. A little bit of history to see there!

Well, first of all, thank you for your service. She travels quite a bit on business, including Antalya, but not to that corner of the country, as you might guess.

Thank you again and stay safe so you get to visit Istanbul sometime soon.

About 100 of Diphenhydramine should fix that..... (my autocorrect wants this to say Methamphetamine which would be counter productive to say the lesast  )

I would love to see that too. Interesting part of the world to be in. Just a bit 'unsettled'. Be safe. The history of that area is fascinating!

Nah, Istanbul is very much a civilized place. It's the eastern portion of the country that is quite rural, and largely due to political issues that shouldn't really be debated in this thread.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #183: The Final Approach To Off-Season

Morning.

I have furniture finally! I am glad I paid someone to haul all our stuff up to the 3rd floor in the heat. I'd have died doing it.

Without getting into specifics, I thought the political scene there was getting a bit chippy. BBC was reporting current gubmint had issues. Maybe that was only in certain areas. I thought there was something about protests but that was awhile ago

Kurds want their own state (in SE Turkey), Turks don't want it to happen.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #183: The Final Approach To Off-Season

Anyhow, I got to wondering (after about a two-year absence of my own), who's still around here. I did some research. Using my list of 101 members who gave me rep during the great 2006 rep-a-thon (plus myself), I grouped folks by the date of their most recent post. The groups are as follows:

Current members (posted sometime this month)
Less active members (most recent post sometime this season)
Inactive members (most recent post prior to October 2015)
Missing members (accounts deleted?)

Some of the members were not Rep-Threaders, but repped me from a Michigan or CCHA thread, but the vast majority of the names should be familiar to many of you. Incidentally, I am assuming that JF_Gophers is the same member as the old JF Gophers whose account is deleted. And sorry, but some of you may not see your name below simply because my 2006 rep spreadsheet doesn't have your name on it.

Also, one flaw in my grouping method is that it is based on posts, whereas some of the less active/inactive members might still visit the thread from time to time (without posting messages).

Wow. Now that RFAlph has stopped his repping cycle this is the most rep thread geekness we may ever see! :p
Some of these names I don't even remember. The bolded ones show up in the Extra thread sometimes.
Foxton was around recently in some thread about religion
Legal, QUiz, Geist (Baukinin) retired (I think)
