Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #182: Snow!

$22. I need to ask the front desk if I can walk it from here. It may be just too far.

:)

Trying to think of what else I did there in 3.5 days. TBH, the majority of it was day hiking in the mountains on the edge of town, which won't happen if you're on a work trip (Wallace Falls was worth the lengthy day hike though). EMP museum was fun for music fans, but my friend was able to get us a deep discount on admission through his Microsoft employee discount card. Something like $10 each vs. $30 each. The exhibits are well done, and the interactive bit on the 3rd floor is cool, but the bulk of the collection heavily focuses on Hendrix and Nirvana, so if Jimi and/or grunge aren't your forte, then I'd say blow it off. Pike Place is good for killing a half day, but try to go during an off-peak time, or else you'll be battling crowds. I'd recommend that you take a ferry across Puget Sound for the views, even if you just get off on the other side to turn around and come back. There's also the Seattle Aquarium.

One thing I did not do is the Boeing Museum of Flight. It's down in Renton adjacent to their facilities there, so if you have a rental car it might be worth investigating, otherwise probably not. As an aviation buff I would've gone, but just did not have time.

NESN airing Tech vs. LSSU this evening. Nice to see what we've heard so much about (band, rink, etc.). Plus the NHL All Star MVP John Scott Memorial Platform

Good, quick thinking by athletic marketing. :)

That said, I genuinely love our arena. I'm obviously biased, but between the band (better when we had our spot in the end directly above the opposing goal for two periods, but still good), and the steep/may no longer be code sightline of the stands, I still think we're a Top 10-15 arena in the NCAA, and you can take that to the bank.

HHT! Left the office at 3:30 so I could come back to my room and follow the game online and listen to it over the interwebs. Now it's time for dinner. West coast is weird.

HHT. We got outworked and out shot, but we still come away with a 5-1 win. I can't argue with results.

You're the 3rd best from the ones I've been to (after the Mecca and the Nazi Bunker), if that means anything.

HHT, thank goodness.
