Today is going to be a long day. Mom flies in tonight and we're gonna have some fun and do some wedding planning. Really looking forward to dress shopping on Saturday. Going to an actual boutique instead of David's Bridal. I have found an acceptable dress at David's, which is the backup should nothing amazing be found on Saturday.

Good Morning Lodge.

In the office for the first time since Monday. Still quite sick, but have a meeting I need to go to this afternoon. It's been years since I've been hit this hard by a cold. Just in my head, but completely leveled me. Couldn't sleep, just couldn't function for 2+ days. Last night was the first time I got more than a couple hours sleep at a time. Slept from 9:30-2 AM before I had to get up to go to the bathroom.

While I was up, I looked out the window and a great horned owl was eating a rabbit next to our garden. Man, those are big birds. Kind of a mess down by the garden this morning.

Good Afternoon, Lodge!

Open House tonight at work. Been cleaning and trying to get work done at the same time. Should be fun. I call it my 1 year anniversary party as I was hired the day after the open house last year. :D

*ht for me last night, although my team beat jailbait in the exhibition I hear it was a sloppy game that may have resulted in an injury to one of our best players.

I missed the game 'cause Mom is here! Picked her up from the airport last night, took her to the end of band rehearsal, then we (Mom, wT & many band geeks) went to Metzger's for yummy German food and beer. Pretty good night.

Proud papa moment. Little gII is representing his school for first grade in a spelling bee. He has advanced past the written part and will be starting the oral part in just a bit.
