Good luck, goldy, and try to show up on time for day #2, eh. :D

Debating about going to Minneapolis for a workshop there. Not really sure I wanna go there during February 26 and 27.

I will be out of town, so it will be safe to travel to MSP. ;)

The Donald is in town at the arena. Major irritant. mr les is locked out of his office and training room since yesterday so they have to go off campus and change the time they practice. Secret service everywhere ->Probably a good idea considering the make up of the city. Lowell is made up of immigrants. If we deported everyone from Lowell that came here from another country the population would be at least be cut in half.

But since you don't like how the people in your town vote, that might be a good thing to lose half of its inhabitants. ;)

I don't live in Lowell. Townies would be quick to point out we have <6% other- full of Caucasian imports who would prefer to forget they are not that far from off the boat :p They don't want to pay for anything and despise anyone who is "rich/elitist" (interchangeable if you have money or education you are Satan). They should hate the Donald because what he wants to do would actually cost money to implement and he is rich. My guess is they love him.

Huge Somali, Muslim, Syrian refuge thing going on. My Pastor's wife is big into it.

Lil has to get to work this evening. He has been vocal about for days that he has to drive 5 miles out of his way to bypass the shiat show. They have a few Muslim guys on the team so it isn't going over well to begin with never mind the disruption of the traffic pattern they have to deal with to get to and from the dorm.

Wouldn't you think that someone with only 16 posts yet a bunch of green chicklets would turn red after I neg repped him? I thought I had that power.

Not if its a second username for someone else on the board and they know to get reps from their friends before they begin trolling.

All they have to do is praise RPI hockey and Ralph will max their rep. :D

Net reps are worth 50% that of a positive. We here in the tLodge are not the only ones on this board with max rep. So it all depends on who else repped him in those 12 posts.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #181: Holidaze

No tv (as in actual tv) for 3-5 days, b/c my cable box took a crap. Fun times. Not that I watch actual TV a whole lot, but still.

Day off, due to some appts I had to attend to today, some minor oral surgery next week. No big deal, was planning on it from last year, just had to wait until my insurance "reset" (maxed out dental last year).

Some changes for carriers at work, too, I guess. Had to call them today to notify them of the surgery day, and I get hit with the news. I had heard rumors, but it's official. Thanks for notifying me before it actually happened, DHBoss....it drastically changes how I will process things at my building.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #181: Holidaze

The toilet in my master bath started leaking through the flush valve, so I went to get a replacement today while coming home from the office. I get it, no problem, but this is a Mansfield toilet. It turns out that Mansfield has this new fangled flushing device that's part of a stem, and gets rid of the old style flap valve within the tank. This means that you have to disassemble the toilet in order to change the valve and then, of course reassemble the thing. During the process of reassembling the toilet, while using my ratchet wrench, it turns out that I cracked the tank. Now I need an entirely new toilet. That's going to be a weekend project.

I swear that I wasn't turning the wrench that hard at all.

Ugh. At a house I used to share with a friend, we had to replace the toilet. Did it right, except.....it was JUSSSSSSSST off-center. Like OCD-off-center, but still...drove me crazy.

Had that kick in yesterday at the girlfriends house. Was in the bathroom and notice that the clock was not hanging straight. Go to straighten it out and almost dropped it on the floor. Had to explain to her parents that it was just my OCD kicking in with that clock.
